I spoke with a BB wireless person, she said she would be more than happy to activate the phone on one of my other lines to get the discount and then will do an ESN swap back to my number since I am not eligible. Can this work? Will Sprint 'catch' on?

The answer to your first 2 questions has been answered very clearly and in great detail over in the 'Bunch of TP Info Best Buy thread', this thread right here is not the place for BBY pricing questions.

i have the simply everything plan with my diamond and my internet sharing works just fine without the phone as a modem add on. The custom roms for these phones has a registry edit that allows you to use the internet sharing without paying for that phone as a modem add on. Don't waste your money on the feature dude. Thats just sprint's way of trying to nickel and dime you. Everything plan should mean "unlimited EVERYTHING" not just unlimited browsing on your phone but tethering and all. Just get the simply everything plan and you are good to go. Unless what you are doing is still cheaper. Hope this helps

Besides the swearing, please stay on topic.. This has nothing to do with the TP or Critcal releasing information to us about the delay. I would hate for this thread to become locked.

concerning this heat panel stuff is it realistic to assume that sprint will recall these pda's to add a heat panel or maybe have people go to their repair reps, and have these panels added. this is the 1st pda i ever had die on me while i was charging and using at the same time. i emailed customer care (i never call) and told that the device is defective using bluetooth, slingbox almost anything makes the device extremely hot, they said they been having complaints about the heat of the unit, and even though my 30 days have past that i can exchange for a different device as long as i pay any difference in price.

With the Pro release they already suspect a large majority of diamonds to be returned or exchanged. If the marjority hits a certain amount and from what is explained to me the part will be added.

got nothing to do with with the device working, critical said test with a panel increased battery life by 8% was wondering would they issue phones with plates or have theme added. said the heat was a reason for battery not lasting.
