These are 2 great questions to start with! A couple more...

1. When using TF3D, opening the keyboard gives you those 8 icons. Is there any way you can change what those point to? I would rather have my "Notes" icon go to OneNote instead of the Windows Notes application.

I thought I had more questions but can't think of them. The question regarding the camera is a good one as well. I'm assuming the camera in the Touch Pro is the same as in the Diamond? The Diamond takes some great pics from what I've seen.

I've said it before, but feel it can't be said enough, that the Mogul (perhaps Touch as well) should have been recalled.
Too many issues inherent to the device itself which have not been addressed, and any one of those issues are grounds for a recall.
It only makes good business sense for the phone companies to not recall the product if a majority of people can tolerate the problems or be led into believing that they (individual customer) somehow actually CAUSED the problems. "Ex: did you drop it, did you put any programs on it, did you have it out in the sun." Folks, these white spots on the screen are not caused from melanoma.
It is up to the individual to force a recall on their individual phone.

I'm getting nauseous from reading this thread which apparently is not being moderated..only me and maybe one or two others are addressing the question from criticalaudio while just about everyone else is whining about the "when/how much/contract details/garbage/etc" which mostly has already been answered a number of times. I'd suggest deleting everything but the people replying to criticalaudio's inquiry.

I'm also getting more suspicious on these due dates. I've been right every single time on predicting delays, not a hard thing to do once you realize the odds and have experience from past estimations.

1. I assume that the Touch Pro ROM has been a work-in-progress for at least several months and has gone through several updates. When did all these current issues

show up and it was determined that all the Touch Pro's needed to be updated before it could be shipped out? That must have been a major decision.

not to burst any bubbles but this is the email i got from 2 differ BB reps.

"This phone looks so sweet! I am a sprint customer and cannot wait to get the pro. Here is the information I have so far, the phone was originally intended for release on 10/19, however due to availability issues Sprint has decided to change the release date to early November. Unfortunately, Best Buy will not be selling the phone at this time or prior to Sprint. We currently offer the sales of the HTC Diamond and Mogul.

DBCar83 that really belongs more in the BBY thread but just as a heads up BBY is guarenteed to carry the phone, there is jsut no guarenteed date, and as for the first email you got that person was incorrect as we have not carried the mogul in almost 6 months, it was a force send back item for all stores.

No rush man. What you are doing is far more important then some of these SAME questions being answered over and over again. The faster you get done the sooner we can get are hands on them so GET BACK TO WORK lol. But seriously don't rush to answer these questions they will get there answers when they get there hands on the pro.

Once the phones come out, figuring out what was done to these in-house modded Pro's should be easy enough if someone shares an unmodified Pro's ROM for comparison. Either a test/beta unit, or a phone that slips through the cracks. The folks at XDA will find these differences quickly, and that info may be used to enhance/patch the Diamonds.
