Also, like I had mentioned above, I believe they're shooting to be finished with everything by Thursday because I remember criticalaudioinc saying that they'll have a 4 day weekend after every unit that they are working on is fixed (again from my understanding, there are other workers and other facilities involved in applying the fixes).

You are correct, Best buy has I guess what you can call a agreement im pushing tomorrow morning to get more info on that. If its going to be delayed I want to know to let you all know I camped outside of best buy IT SUCKS! Just so we can keep all clean Best but date of 26th looks good so far but is still only a estimate from HTC and Sprints information.

You should learn your lesson earlier than MANY on here and other message boards have learned. Tier 1 Customer Service reps do not have the most reliable information. Just look for the MANY posts that stated, "I spoke with a Sprint rep and they told me 10/19..."

From what I understand, the "hope" is that Sprint will be able to deliver enough units everywhere by 11/2. Whether that happens or not is the question and aside from early non-sprint retail and Best Buy, Telesales/EVP orders will be priority.

There was a term that criticalaudioinc used regarding his discussions with Sprint (about shipment to retailers), but I can't remember what it was specifically. Anyhow, generally speaking, the question was posed from Sprint if they'd be able to send the phones not only to Best Buy, but to everywhere else as well.

A easy test would be to use google maps or a problem similar and let the phone sit in one location for 15 minutes and then walk down a street normally 3 or 4 houses down or atleast 150 feet. Dont have to but just a idea for ya lol.

Hopefully it also stackes with the 20% best Buy rewards discount.

From what I understand and read on these forums, there have been some people who have posted on this forum (that work at Best Buy) that indicated Best Buy marks up the retail costs, so that all the rebates come out to the same cost as going through Sprint. Not sure 'bout this though, I also understand that the rebates are instant vs. mail in.

Thing is, with Best Buy, if you're a Rewards Zone Member, there is a 20% coupon available right now for any smart phone (for people eligible for upgrade or for new lines).

Hope what I'm saying is 100% accurate. Again, I'm only speaking from what I can remember has been said before (but not sure it's all right).

It would be fantastic if it comes out to the same price as buying it from sprint with a new 2 year contract ( after 22months+) but without having to actual deal with the $100 rebate. I would be more than satisfied with that (plus not having to wait until the 2nd or whatever).

The 20% on top of that would be Gravy!

Well, don't get too excited yet. It'll only happen if they don't run across any major errors within the next 2 days? And even then, someone from Best Buy said that all shipments for the weekend are in by Thursday (unless it's a special shipment) and if the Touch Pros are sent with a "special shipment," no telling if they'll be available to sell immediately.

My guess, assuming everything goes smoothly, is Best Buy would have them on the floor ready for sale next Wednesday or Thursday.

Looking good so far and sprint is really pushing for this. They really want orders to be available on Nov 1st to 2nd and ship out 3rd to 4th

I'm pretty comfortable with that happening, based on what criticalaudioinc has stated thus far. And I do remember him saying that some EVP orders could ship out at the same time as Best Buy shipments.

If anything, it seems like the concern is making Best Buy's "exclusive" release (prior to regular release) and if that doesn't happen, worse case scenario would be Touch Pro would be available everywhere on 11/2?

I'm not sure 'bout my last paragraph, but that's what I've gathered.
