Whats up everyone!?! Just to let you all know that I just got my Touch Pro lastnight 10/25 at my local BB store in Columbus,OH Store #156. I called 1st to see if they had them and they said they only had a few. So I went to pick one up and they didnt have them on display yet...and there was one other guy there for the same thing. We both had our 20% flyer and they did honor it. The rep allowed me to renew my contract for to get the $299 deal combined with the 20% off which brought the phone down to $239.99. With tax I paid $256.19. In in my opinion is a way better deal than I wouldve got from a Sprint store. I love this phone...Not a flaw yet.

same thing happened to me.

went to level 2 tec support at sprint. we ended up doing a hard reset and reinstalling the MSN MSID data manually. that then brought everything back.

I have been playing with the phone but I can't just make it to connect to the internet, all the apps that uses the internet won't work. Opera and IE fail trying to connect to the internet thru sprint network.

I tried to use the wireles router at home with wifi and same thing... NOTHING!!!

I can see the little arrows on top like the communication is being established but the apps just don't connect.

Anybody else is having the same issues?

Im not sure if this was asked already i searched and didnt find anything on it I have a call tone assigned to my account i am a brand new customer and the touch pro is the only phone on my account. I've been hearing that ppc's arent supposed to have the ability to have call tones will sprint cancel the call tone i paid for?

If you have a phone that has a calltone assigned that is a non-ppc phone and move to the ppc phone, the call tone will stay assigned until it expires.

For example. you by a calltone on a non PPC phone three days prior to purchasing the TP and the calltone expires in 90 days. It will remain assigned for an additional 87 days.

However, there is not technical reason for not being to have call tones on a PPC. The call tones have nothing to do with the phone at all since it is a backend service. The on;y reason I can see why you can't assign a calltone to your phone is becasue the Sprint "store" that is avaialble on all non-ppc phone is not available for PPC phones. However there is no reason why they can't make the purchase of calltones availabe through your account on the sprint website.

So yes, the call tone will be there until it expires, once this happens you will not be able to assign new calltones from the phone or through the sprint website.

There was a hack to do call tones on the ppc a while back. It basically entailed changing your browser string to that of a Palm OS Treo and putting in some proxy settings. This made the call tones site think you had a Treo and let you do call tones.

Not sure why they didn't want WM PPCs to have the ability to reach the website. Regardless, as CountryDevil stated, its not a problem to have one assigned if its already there.

I went to bestbuy.com and i saw the phone for 749.99 no contract price did anyone go there and buy it today can someone confirm that the price they are selling the phone for.

just picked one up for the wife. the phone has instore discounts and if you are a reward zone member you can squeeze another 20% off for a total before taxes of $239.99

question for anyone with the sprint touch pro! can you install apps/programs from to the phone via usb cable or do you have to download activesync to fully install apps/programs? ex. to put the coreplayer on my mogul i had to install activesync to get it on there cause it was a exe file. will the touch pro be able to load coreplayer without activesyne??? TIA

You can put it in usb mass storage mode, so you can install programs as long as they are cab files.
