I talked to a sprint rep at the local sprint store and they said that the store is aiming for an oct. 31 release.

In East Mesa in Arizona I was able to get a HTC Touch Pro this evening 10/25 at Best Buy Superstition Springs, they had no "street date" when they could start selling them so since they had them in stock since friday they started selling. Like others on this thread I was able to use the Best Buy rewardzone coupon so take home was something like 260 (2 year agreement).

This phone rocks, the interface is very intuitive, keyboard has a nice feel even with my giant monkey thumbs. The camera light is cool, nice flashlight action. Sound was good when I made one call, the wi-fi works great on my home network. So far so good, don't wait!

Damn I was checking on ebay for the touch pro and one of the phone is going for $600 right now....lol

Who in their right mind would even pay that price. Whoever bidded has 0 feedback which leads me to believe that its probably a fake account by the seller.

Ok, what they told me on the phone was in order to get the $70 credit, I had to renew the 2yr subscriber agreement with the Sprint Rep while on the phone. YES, I know that you have to sign something at Best Buy committing to a 2yr agreement, but if you wait until after you go to Best Buy and renew the agreement the Sprint Rep can't give you a credit because it shows you already signed a new 2yr subscriber agreement. I say again: The $70 credit is for actually signing a new 2yr agreement with the Sprint rep on the phone. If you wait until after you go to Best Buy and try to claim the credit, you won't be eligible. Atleast, that's what I was told.

My recommendation: Agree to the 2yr agreement with the Sprint Rep on the phone so they give you the $70 credit. THEN go to Best Buy and get the phone.
