Best Buy deal and date

Just another question regarding the $279 price...what if i am on an existing plan (I'm getting the upgrade discount), BUT I change my plan from my current $49/mo plan to a $69/mo plan when I get the new phone. So, it's a new plan with the phone but an old customer...is it $299 or $279 (not that I care about the $20 anyway, I just want the phone haha).

You're a current customer, so you get the current customer deal. You'd have to be a whole new customer to get the new price.

not to burst any bubbles but this is the email i got from 2 differ BB reps.

"This phone looks so sweet! I am a sprint customer and cannot wait to get the pro. Here is the information I have so far, the phone was originally intended for release on 10/19, however due to availability issues Sprint has decided to change the release date to early November. Unfortunately, Best Buy will not be selling the phone at this time or prior to Sprint. We currently offer the sales of the HTC Diamond and Mogul.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns."

As soon as i read "... we do not know for sure if we are even going to get the Sprint Touch Pro..." i stopped reading. She is basically saying she doesnt know if they will ever get the phone. Best Buy is an authorized dealer similar to Radio Shack, and if you check their website, they have every phone sprint has available.

This doesnt speak much for release though, BB might not have the exclusivity deal that we are starting to assume (which i still dont understand, how can they get the phone before the phone company?). Either way, I just dont 'buy' anything shes saying.

Your first 2 lines say it all. Best buy will have it for sure. I saw posters already and the rep says they will sell it. I have to drive 40 miles to the best buy with sprint instead of tmobile he just can't gurantee for 100% that it will be sunday, but he's pretty sure.

here's a direct copy+paste from an EVP rep with whom i placed a preorder, but have not given my billing information because i would like to take advantage of the best buy deal. more confusion, unfortunately....

Unfortunately we are unable to offer you that since I have no verification that Best Buy will be offering the phone at a 20% discount. I called 3 different Best Buy stores and was told by each employee that the 20% off would not apply to the Touch Pro, only the other smart phones.

maybe because its not out yet, they don't know. But it says only the iphone is the one not counted

I will reread the terms and conditions when I get home, but I only saw the Iphone as being not counted.
