Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro -- Now working on Verizon! And with GPS!
if you are using the andboot folder, nothing goes into the root, it all goes into andboot.
generally when new files come out, i replace the zimage and modules, the rootfs.img and the system.sqsh (system.ext2 if you use that one). also the init files when those come out but those are more rare. i haven't deleted my data.img in ages. but i haven't had the issues with the bootloop that alot of people have. deleting the data.img is like doing a hardreset so when all else fails, thats what to do.

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro -- Now working on Verizon! And with GPS!
I got one here for someone. I got everything to work, so-to-speak but I cannot for the life of me get my Google account to hook up, what am I doing wrong? It something about the server can't be reached but I checked the APN and set it up as stated in the first post on instructions. What do I do?

Do i need both system.ext2 and system.sqsh ?
If not, which one should I choose? |

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro -- Now working on Verizon! And with GPS!
you do not, it's one or the other. system.sqsh is simple and easy. it's a locked system so you can't do anything to hurt it but you can't add system files to it. you really shouldn't ever need to so there is no harm and for the most part, the system.sqsh is the preferred system to use.
system.ext2 is an open system (you can read/write). it's a little bigger (150mb) than the system.sqsh (50mb). |

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro -- Now working on Verizon! And with GPS!
I can get online but just can sync up my google account. Where else could or should I be looking? |

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro -- Now working on Verizon! And with GPS!
well if you can get online, then data is working. next suggestion would be to double or tripple check your username and password. try username@gmail.com and username without the @gmail.com. make sure caps are off. i can't think of any reason google sync wouldn't work as long as data is working.
