Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
PreOrdered my EVO 4G, I was the 6th person at my local bestbuy to do so, so I should be getting one on launch day! Until then the Android on my TP has been working great.
A big thanks to everyone involved in this here and elsewhere, if it was not for you guys I would of most likly stuck with Windows Mobile as I have for so many years and not known how great Android was. I will miss my Sero plan when I get my EVO and have to give it up, but I guess a small sacrifice to be able to have that phone. |

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
I considered switching plans but when I heard the Evo requires a $10 fee ON TOP OF the more expensive plan, I'm keeping my three $30 lines.

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
Well, I suppose i should have read the GPS news more thoroughly. I was ready to jump into Android full time with GPS working, but I guess we'll have to wait a little longer for the gang to get CDMA GPS going.
Looking forward to the CDMA GPS! Also, thanks everyone for the suggestions in fixing the boot problems with the latest AIO. I ended up just grabbing the generic AIO on XDA, and adding in the latest rootfs, initrd, and kernel+modules and now everything works (with the raph800 startup file). |

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
Is there a way to view and edit the latest image kernal code? If there is would it be possible for us (the beta testers) to route the gps to speed up the process? Same goes for the camera. It just seems like the raph800 has a very self specific gps system so if those with the raph800 take on the challenge it may speed this process up.

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)
Like many of the others, I was experiencing the "Installation error: insufficient storage available" when trying to download applications from the marketplace. I was able to fix it by deleting the data.img and letting it rebuild it. If it means anything after deleting the data.img I launched the MHGDroidUtil with Force CDMA flag toggled. When setting up my google account it went a little strange -- it kept looping between the screen asking me to sign up or sign in after fully completing the sign in option before it. A simple soft-restart seemed to fix the looping there.
This was also done on the 'naked' version of the AIO 5/11. I tried doing the folder merge but that didnt work. All and all, just letting it rebuild the data.img seems to be the fix for this error. |
