I tried to update using the MJDroidUtil and now it wont even go past loading HARET. Worse of all is I took my old (new) tp out of the box cuz i wanted to see if android worked well...haha.

Guess its just a waiting game now.

Just change the posted download link so it ends in 2010-05-07.7z

I tried re-formatting my sdcard and downloading 2010-05-07 AIO but still got the freezing issue.

So I re-formatted again and went all the way back to the original 2010-03-31 AIO that was working fine on my device. Sure enough, it doesn't freeze and comes up just fine.

Something between 2010-03-31 and 2010-05-07 AIO broke.

No matter if I use the AIO or build it from files anytime I try to Install I get "Insufficient Storage Space" error. I checked and have 190megs free on the phone and 2gig free on SD Card so I don't know wazzup. Anyway just thought I would throw that out, otherwise everything seemed to work like a charm, except for not being able to install anything.

Sounds like you have a bad startup.txt...

But for the looping X errors, I have no clue what to say. All I know is, these new builds are awesome, and I haven't had any issues... People at XDA solved it by updating, but others seem to be plagued with the issue no matter what. Oh well I guess!

Arrrghhh: Have you done a clean-wipe install from the AIO package? Or have you just been incrementally/manually updating from an older AIO package?

Also, out of curiosity, what WinMo rom are you running? (I know it should have no bearing on anything in droid, but the post re: stock rom has me thinking of going back)

After going back, re-formatting, and getting the 2010-03-31 AOI working on my device (no boot-loop, and got all the way to the home screen), I then attempted to simply *overwrite* the sdcard with the latest AOI from 2010-05-11 and guess what - it works!!! I'm guessing that people who've been updating instead of clean-installs are working and those that do clean-installs don't work.

Yea, should have no bearing... but it may. I've pretty much stuck with EnergyROM. I update typically once a month, that guy cranks out updates seemingly once a week. I usually go with whatever the newest 6.5.x is.

I did a clean-wipe install with the 5/3 build I believe, because they brought it up to 2.1 (2.0.1 is not really developed on any longer...). But typically I just update the things that can be updated, and leave everything else. For the most part, the sqsh file doesn't change, the other stuff just stays the same... so there's no real _need_ to grab the AIO's. Makk just puts those up to make it easy for people (which we do appreciate Makk!)

I did read something over on XDA that made no sense... but can you post your startup.txt so I can compare it with mine?

So I just saw your new post. Glad you got it working, but that is an old build. You'll be running 2.0.1, which I guess isn't all that different. That makes me wonder... Can you download this SQSH file, backup your current sqsh file (rename it to system.sqsh.bak, and name this one system.sqsh) Please let me know how this works for you.
