Looking for a little help.

Trying to set this up on a Verizon Touch Pro.

If I use the latest release with raph500 startup values, I can get past initial setup and calibration, then get stuck on the reboot loop.

I tried the 3-31 workaround, but I cant get 3-31 to work, I get the booting linux box then nothing. I also tried peterms workaround fix and it gets an error during setup regarding the modem and it just keeps trying to do something over and over.

I am very new to this any help would be appreciated. I cant believe im trying so hard to get something that even the cam doesnt work with on my phone lol

what version are you trying to use? did you delete everything off your card(back up on your PC first if you want to keep it) then format it as FAT32? you can install it to the car 2 different ways. you can A. install the andboot folder to the card and run from inside there or B you can copy everything from inside that folder to the root of the card and run like that. i have done both and it works either way. when you move the folder(or files) to the sd card delete the "startup.txt" file that is in the folder BEFORE you copy/move the RAPH500 version of "startup.txt" to the root/folder. when you open the sd card in file explorer it should be either SD/startup or SD/andboot/startup. you may want to start off with just unziping the andboot folder to your desktop then open the sd card and the andboot folder and moving the contents of the andboot folder to the root of the sd card and take care of the startup.txt while you have it open. try that and see how it goes.

I got the data connection to work, was able to browse a page, I cant seem to get my location to work, in either navigation or maps, or the google web home page. Battery life reporting is def an issue as well as the crashes, but this did just what i had hoped and helped my decision about what phone to get next! thanx everyone who made this possible!

May have to turn on location in the settings. I don't think it's enabled by default.

Agreed... about the only thing I think I'd miss from WinMo is MyMobiler. There's a few apps that kinda do it for Android, but none are near the quality of MyMobiler.

you need a lighter rom to get the most out of android. its not running all by its self. it is merely running on top of WinMo. im actually running an older SSK 6.1 rom with 50% available at boot and usually run 45% free there after.

go to the market and find a GPS toggle. then you can turn the GPS on before you start using it. it will take a few min but it will work. OH, and to make your battery last longer and make it run cooler find a WiFi toggle as well. you dont notice it but WiFi runs all the time causing battery drain along with extra heat.

how does android work with that? I can get over not using the camera, thats why we have digis, but the speed and crashing and battery is rough. How is your time with a 6.1 rom? I was able to make a 6.1 bare rom in caulkins kitchen with over 60% free on boot so i think im going to try it out

Believe it or not my 6.5 build idles at 60 used, 53 free on a page pool of 6

Whipped up a 6.1 build that boots only using 35% resources and stays there....Android is semi usable now! Tops!

I did it with calks kitchen. ITs not too bad. Still pretty buggy. Going to try with the overclock setting on.

I guess if I hate it i can always go back to a super fast 6.1 lol. Although i do hate the softkeyboard glitch
