Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

hmm i'm not so sure about that. just yesterday i deleted my data.img and had it build a new one with no issues. this is effectivly the same as a fresh build with the newest packages.

let me look at the new package to see if i can find anything different.

ok i think i see the problem. the startup.txt has an off format to it.

mj41374, do me a favor and copy this to your startup.txt and see if it will boot:

set ramsize 0x10000000
set ramaddr 0x10000000
set mtype 2039
set KERNEL zImage
set initrd initrd.gz
set cmdline "lcd.density=210 msmvkeyb_toggle=off physkeyboard=raph board-htcraphael-navi.wake=0 gsensor_axis=2,-1,3"
boot

i know it looks the same but it's not lol.

That change did not appear to fix it for me.

App installation doesn't work on 05-11 build

Got the new build working on my Touch Pro, however it won't allow me to install apps from the Android Market, claiming that there's Insufficient Space Available. I'm able to install apps just fine on the previous build, and there's plenty of free space on the phone (2GB microSD card, 191MB free on "internal", 1.47GB free on the card). Any ideas?

I have the previous build on another microSD card so I may just swap back to that for the time being...I <3 my apps :-)

EDIT: Direct app installation doesn't work either.

No matter if I use the AIO or build it from files anytime I try to Install I get "Insufficient Storage Space" error. I checked and have 190megs free on the phone and 2gig free on SD Card so I don't know wazzup. Anyway just thought I would throw that out, otherwise everything seemed to work like a charm, except for not being able to install anything.

That's the same as I posted here...

I'm out of time today trying to debug the AIO package for everyone, esp. since I have a work-around method in place (see prev post about installing the 2010-03-31 and overlaying 2010-05-11). I've re-created that solution a second time w/o any difficulties. I've even deleted the data.img file after getting the 2010-05-11 AIO overlay working and it successfully re-creates the data.img file w/o a problem.

Essentially, I've got something that works and I think it'll help others until we can all find a way to fix the AIO package.

Similar story to everyone else...clean install, I tried the 5/11 package, got the endless X, tried updating with MJG, didn't help. I installed the latest rootfs and deleted the data image, and now it works. Yay!

Except Insufficient Storage error when trying to install apps...anyone figure out how to fix that yet?

I did your work around and it worked great for me, thanks!
