ahhhh,
following up from calling the service number.
The advanced support said there is nothing they can do for me and sent me to a repair center.
The repair center said they can probably upgrade me to the tp2 with my warranty and I was ecstatic but moments later the rep said the warehouse is empty and he can only offer me a blackberry or a palm pre....

No tp2 for me...

Well I call the number in Post 1 and told them about the issues I was facing with the new ROM they gave me a ticket number and told me to see a manager at the nearest sprint store to see if he can do anything for me. I guess I'll will post tomorrow and see what happens.

My keyboard just conked out on me. I took it into sprint and they have to replace it for free. They offered me a pre, any of the blackberries, snap, or another TP. I asked for a TP2 and they said it wasn't on the list. I picked another TP.

If it happens again, I will try it the thread starter's way.

I went to a sprint store today and got a tp for my overheating tp. Kinda pissed but oh well, what can I do? I asked him why the CS on the phone said I could have a different phone but he said they can't do that. I will try the CS again but I'm out of town on leave and couldn't have it shipped to me.

I'd have to agree since I just checked the new TP I got to replace my dead one about a month ago. The stock ROM that came on the new phone from Sprint is the same one on the HTC site.

in defense of this, i must admit that this rom is not the same one that htc posted before. it was pulled, along with the sprint touch pro, but came back a week or two later. i d/l'd the 1st version and nothing would work. i spent an hour with tech support over the phone and they gave me a tp2. but i didn't do it on purpose.....
