Re: Case magnet killing battery...

Ok it was my lock program that was interfering. Thanks guys....Cab or Reg edit works. So what lock program are you guys using..I was using a small XDA program called lockdevice....Seems that doesnt work with this reg edit.

Yeah, I'm guessing all cases doesn't cause this, just certain ones. But it will be good for others to test out, just to see where they stand.

This did the trick. Thanks given!

Paid around $30 at BestBuy for the OEM HTC leather case with the big magnet and had to go back to using the crappy Mogul one because of the unlock issue. Regedit did wonders.

Re: Case magnet killing battery...

lol thanks, yeah I saw that after I posted my reply. I still cannot get the SlideWakeup = 0 to stick on my Verizon TP2. It will work once then stop working after I shut it and slide it back open.

Yes I soft reset after changing the value.

Re: Case magnet killing battery...

It works and has been verified not only in this thread but many others.

1. You are either incorrectly reg editing

or

2. You have some program that continually is resetting this value to default

The cab here solves 1. so...

Re: Case magnet killing battery...

Both would be incorrect in my case. The value is correctly changed and it remains set to 0 no matter how many times i soft reset and check it at various times while phone is in use, it is still set to 0.

I must have a rare case here for some reason.

Thanks though.
