Does your screen show Rainbow Banding?

Mine is over a yr old now and has the rainbow banding.
I don't have insurance on the phone so wondering if I am just out of luck on getting it replaced. (phone still functions correctly right now but have seen others say that over time it will become unusable)

I have insurance, but I didn't use insurance to get my 4 replacement TP2's I've got.

Touch Pro 2 has a one year HTC warranty. That's what I used and they sent me refurbs.

If you're over the year and no insurance, sadly you are out of luck

Who did you go through for the replacements... HTC or Carrier?

Carrier. I just take mine to VZW store or call Customer Service (*611) and they send out a refurb. I send back defective device

My TP2 has the same rainbow effect that was posted but not nearly as big. It has no affect on the screen once the it's lit up. I can only see the rainbow when the screen is turned off.

I wanted to chime in.. I had the same rainbow banding on my TP2. I had the oem screen protector on it too. I had to file an insurance claim on my phone because my touch screen was not working properly. I was going to go the defective replacement route but when I took off the battery cover from the phone, I noticed that the sticker on the side of the phone had turned red...which would make it seem like it was submerged in water but I sware it never was.. oh well.

i just had this happen a few days ago, ive always had it in a belt holster and a screen protector. i would have a innocase or something if they made 1 for the 3500 seidio battery.

this happened while i had it in my cell phone pocket in ****ies work pants while cutting my grass. while i was listening to sirius. it would of been in a case but there isnt to many cases that will fit this battery and still have the headphone jack accessible.
anyhow verizon is sending a refurb. my 3rd refurb since march this year.

that if you press ##778 it brings up a screen shot that will show you if your phone is a refurb or not, i did it to my current tp2 that is a refurb. and it shows no refurb date ?

Im not sure I have never tried this. Maybe PM the OP of that thread or the one that suggested it to see what you could do?
