How to get iGo8 run on TP2 with TTS enable and 2009 NA Maps (step by step guide)

Didn't see this thread before...looks like an excellent guide. I'm looking forward to trying it out when I have some extra time!

Just a curiousity question. On installing the Skin, it says to do the Extensions folder, what does that do. I actually tried the skin with and without doing that and really don't see a difference, but just wondered what is in that folder that the skin needs, and will it not mess with other skins?

I just gave up on the .dll and speech thing. I thought it was a not enough memory.

Did you all notice the backlight thing doesnt save? You put it less than bright and when you exit and come back again, its super bright again.

I notice there is lag on it by at least 3 sec. Do a hard stop and watch your mph go to ZERO and count. I might use it with GPSGate.

I have blended the above sys.txt with the one posted at the beginning of the thread. It is attached below. Try it and see if it works for you.

But I am still having problems seeing full screen landscape when screen is set to device settings. It works in portrait or landscape, but not both on device settings.

I blended the sys.txt file on the first post with the sys.txt setting I have posted above. With this new sys.txt I am able to get the TTS voices to play on the ATT Tilt 2.

Now, I am just working on getting screen orientation to look right in both landscape and portrait when "set to device setting." I am currently getting half screen in landscape mode when I opened the keyboard.

I had TTS working... and I kept messing with things... now it is gone and I cannot get it back... SOB

This is still the issue, we can switch between landscape/port but then when sliding out the keyboard, it does the funky half screen. anyone have any ideas about this issue yet??

Ive yet to figure that out either. But there is a workaround which prevents the iGo screen from switching into the distorted portrait view. Just include include these two sections in your sys.txt.

Note: using this config will disable portrait mode altogether.
