More contradictory information:
In response to my ecare email query of this afternoon, "Original Question: Touch Pro 2 price Question: Can you confirm for me whether the upgrade price after mir rebate on the touch pro 2 will be lowered to $199 starting Oct. 1 and if so, whether this price will be available to all customers eligible for an upgrade?" I received the following ecar email this evening at 8:56 PM- "Dear XXXX, Thank you for contacting Sprint. I am happy to assist you with the price of HTC Touch Pro2 handset. Effective October 01, 2009, the online price of HTC Touch Pro2 has been slashed to $199.99 after the Mail in Rebate of $100.00 to match the price of the handset offered by other service provider. As you have upgraded the handset on September 30, 2009, the price of the handset has not been slashed yet. The effective date is October 01, 2009. I understand that you have been charged $349.99 for the handset after mail in rebate of $100.00. Please let us know once the invoice generates, we will apply the additional remaining credit of $150.00 on your account to match the price of the handset. The invoice with the charge of the handset will reflect on the October 04, 2009. Please reply after the generation of the invoice so that we will apply the credit for the handset. We value your business and appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. Please reply to this email or visit Sprint.com/mysprint if we can be of further assistance. Sincerely, XXXX. Sprint" We'll see tomorrow if this price change is correct. |

Well sprint has updated the pricing for the Touch Pro 2 and from what I understand its 319 for personal accounts and 199 for Business accounts.

That may indeed be correct (" 319 for personal accounts and 199 for Business accounts") but my ecare email did not make any mention of the the type of account, which I had specifically mentioned in my ecare question.

well.. im only elgible for $75 off a phone.. no eligible for full upgrade for another year.. so all day i made 4 call to sale/account services.. the first 4 call told me $600 minus $75 for upgrade and that was the best they could do $525.. the 4th person offered another $50 off which made it $475... so on the way home i called again.. this guy said $525 plus a $100 mail in rebate which meant $425... and i told him my friend just the the same phone with a credit for 150 because of sprint, and he said he tried to get me a credit but could not do it.... so i ordered the phone, and hopeing to get a credit within 4 weeks, or ill just return it.. any ideas?

As a new customer I just got my two phones yesturday. I originally open the new account on 9/18 but it took until yesterday to get things with Sprint worked out. So today I called them with several issues, 1. I didn't get an updated bill yet but they are texting me asking for payment already; 2. They didn't send me any forms for my mail in rebates; 3. I want a price adjustment from $350 to $200 for each phone; and 4. On one phone the sprint TV and sprint radio don't work.
I called telesales. Explained all 4 problems, waited 15 minites for her to talk to her supervisor. She came back and told me that I don't need to pay anything now until I get a new bill. Then she as silent until I said, "well what about the other issues?". She says "what???". She was lost, could't handle more than one thing at a time. lol Next thing I know I'm switched to retentions. She tells me I have to go to a Sprint store to get my rebate forms, for some reason the rebate dept. is not allowed to mail them, its better to make me drive 50 miles to the store. They said they are on line but I can't find them. She then switches me to repairs for the TV problem but they hang up on me, I call repairs back and they can't make it work so they tell me to bring it into a store to see if they can make it work. (I'll probably wind up sending the phone back for replacement and will use up more of my 30 day trial period waiting for another phone swap.) Finally, the woman from retentions wouldn't budge. She says the $200 price is for corporations only. I'm just a lowly individual, I get charged almost double. That's the way it goes I guess. Last edited by Vacs; 10-01-2009 at 12:48 AM. |
