I LOVE THE EVO SHIFT !!!!!

I was messing around with them at the sprint store , and the epic is nice but its just how it feels in my hand .. the epic feels brittle , like i could crush it . the evo , feels solid and durable . i believe its cause of the metal case . The only thing i hate , is that the evo shift doesnt have a mechanism for sliding it out , it just kinda glides . And I know what you mean about the Epic build quality. It does feel very cheap, it's even considerably lighter than my TP2 or any HTC phone I've held for that matter (including the Thunderbolt).

I wonder if this is true for all Samsung models. I've seen complaints on wpcentral of the focus being the exact same way. my guess is its probably intentional because there is a group out there that likes to bitch about phones being bulky so they're designing the phones specifically for that crowd

SVDO is an update to the 1x, aka 1x advanced..it allows for voice and data at the same time...as for rev B..before sprint said they are not going that route..but I googled it and there is a "rumor" of Rev B rollout..but no official confirmation...

well they better be doing something, there has to be some kind of explanation to these rollercoastering speeds in my area. doesn't make sense for them to be close to normal and above normal 1 week to fluctuating between normal and much below normal from day to day during the next.

im down too if it has the ability to switch between wp7, wm6.5.x and free upgrade this is probably my largest quote ever but got to get all these replies out the way before my speeds dropto EDGE and dialup levels or in the zone between in Ev mode.

Thats kinda across the board..my guess their roaming contract expired and they renegotiated the terms (look at sprints new 3g map..it looks like t-mobile)...aka a lot of the towers are not native sprint anymore but pure roaming.."though" it may be possible they plan on doing multi-carrier EVDO..of the rev b spec and roaming for now...

I read that it'll be based on the tower so all the current phones will be able to do it.

Im pretty sure REV b requires a hardware update...Rev. 0 -> Rev. A did..
