Re: i believe its time , poor phone ..

My keyboard seems to slide out all of the way and tilt up when using 2 hands to slide. If I use 1 hand sometimes it will stay because one side is higher than the other.
Seriously though it is just different for a little bit and then you get used to it and it seems perfectly normal and natural. Just remember it's not a TP2.

I don't have the data configured on my phone so I wouldn't know if the Sprint's 3G. I can tether it Wi-Fi to my car's Boost(Sprint) TP1 and be just fine on 3G with Netflix if I'm in a decent area.

The reason I could care less about 4G is because there isn't a constant connection when traveling. For ME it doesn't work well as my laptop loses a VPN connection and the data needs to be re-established because of it. 3G seems to go from tower to tower without intteruption. That's why I don't want to pay for data on a 3G smartphone also. I would rather pay ~$10.50 month for a wifi hotspot for my laptop and phone separate that doesn't get interrupted by phone calls coming or going.

Re: i believe its time , poor phone ..

I think the $10 fee also has something to do with the Ev Rev.B rollout which is supported by all phones released in the last year and not having a data cap, especially since the arrive is much more data intensive than the tp2. from downloading apps and songs from the marketplace, streaming songs from the marketplace, Netflix and youtube/dailymotion videos has caused my data usage to rise to 8GB last month from just a lil over 1GB from my tp/tp2 days. but what sprint should do is give those the option to remove the premium data and receive a data cap and the slower Ev rev.A speeds.

Re: i believe its time , poor phone ..

Don't get the epic regardless of what gTen tells you.... LOL.

Play with both phones bro... It's a personal choice...

Consider other differences like battery life, portability, screen size, etc etc.

Actually you should listen to gten and come over to the dark side by getting the epic phone runs great even stock let alone once you root and install custom rom. It does everything you say you need your phone for and more

Re: i believe its time , poor phone ..

I use a TP2 and Epic at the same time... I hate to say it, but the Epic is getting more and more finger time by the day.

I spent like 3hrs writing a totally awesome script to back up the entire phone to my FTP server when I'm at home. What a waste

Re: i believe its time , poor phone ..

hey thanks again guys for your answers . I just got my refurb yesterday , unlocked and flashed the same day and im back to being sastisfied .

BUT!
I LOVE THE EVO SHIFT !!!!!

I was messing around with them at the sprint store , and the epic is nice but its just how it feels in my hand .. the epic feels brittle , like i could crush it . the evo , feels solid and durable . i believe its cause of the metal case . The only thing i hate , is that the evo shift doesnt have a mechanism for sliding it out , it just kinda glides . Still , BOTH GREAT PHONES . im honestly tied up , the more i think about it the harder it gets . lmao . but another postitive thing is , the evo shift lasts longer , and i have 3 TP2 batterys i can use on it thats totally cool !

Re: i believe its time , poor phone ..

You can use your TP2 batteries in an EVO, too

And I know what you mean about the Epic build quality. It does feel very cheap, it's even considerably lighter than my TP2 or any HTC phone I've held for that matter (including the Thunderbolt).
