Step below is 729.6 which is what I am running. Thanks for all the help.

Re: Anyone overclocked their TP2

My phone charge is indicated 100% and while in charge it still shows the amber light. I used Touch Pro2 Cleanup by GoodThings2Life . Wonder if it could have been because of this?

Attached below is someone else benchmarks of winmospeed vs OCT 1.5. He ran it several times and linked his most average results.
Winmospeed wins in the first parts while OCT wins on the bottom down the list on some even while it is in stock speeds (ex. file list (main memory)).

And on one of them OCT 1.5 wins by 1000 like file list (main memory). Does this big difference mean that it is affected a lot? I mean is this big difference on something that is important for performance?

Looks like winmospeed along with OCT 1.5 have their own advantages pros and cons. Winmospeed seemed to worsen when overclocked then when stock by a significant amount of about 200-300 in sd card write, but is this something that affects performance on apps if run off of the sd card or is just the performance for this task (and does it apply to the program when being run off of the sd card and thus affecting the performance)?

However based on the benchmarks (yes of course which one performs faster on important tasks rather than non important tasks [meaning don't count which had higher numbers overall which is obviously going to be winmospeed; however I am not sure if those were important things that winmospeed had better scores on, but if they were then winmospeed is the winner]), I would like to get an opinion on which one is better overall.

If possible can you list me whats important and affects performance most in a list as 1 being the top and most important thing that if speed is high on it performance will be affected most and the last one being the last number (how many ever things the benchmark scored on).

Which benchmark would be the one too look at that would determine performance best on hard apps (like games or like 3d shooter games or racer on tp2)???

I already explained it to you in other thread...
It is an option...
to make your unit automatically run at your desired speed after a soft reset.

Whereas normally it would resort to default setting and not be activated after a reset.

Explained again gera..

This is a safe speed as most units usually top off at 748,
BUT you still need to test yourself, increasing to your maximum speed,
as the later built units are able to go significantly higher, around 800Mhz..

Re: Anyone overclocked their TP2

Yup done. I am guessing I will stop worrying about OCT then, just benchmarks keep bothering me that I attached. Especially where OCT scored by 1000 better than winmospeed on one of them.
My question is, is this part an important part to performance? And storage card (write) is also by a lot lower, so my question is the same for this too (is this something to do with performance? Or just to write apps on the sd card or something? I mean will it affect and make an app run slower than the other setting? Or is it just to install apps makes the difference in speed?)

Only when reading & writing, like when the app is saving a file, first opening a file, etc.
You may not notice as it also will depend on the card and at most we are prob looking at maybey a half sec worst case average but that is a broad guess as there are just too many variables.

Do you know of a way to uninstall it? Have you tried to? My phone tells me it's uninstalled... But it's still there. Still functioning. Even after disabling it and going through the uninstall process and soft reset.

Any ideas???

Anyone else experiencing this?

BTW... I'm running a completely stock Sprint 6.5 ROM... Only cabs for effect.
p.
I've experienced the same problem during my comparisons between OCT, WinMoSpeed, and the old MSM. Here are a few things I would try:

1. Perform a hard reset using the hard keys (hold SEND+END+VOL DOWN)

2. Look around why "Clear Storage" wouldn't work for you. It's a bit strange that it doen't work, I've never heard of this happening.

3. Delete the OCT driver entries in the registry. Take a look at HKLM/Drivers/Builtin/OCT and wipe it all out.

4. Or you can just flash the stock Sprint rom. It'll do a complete wipe (ala Task29), flash the Sprint approved radio, and the rom of course.

Best of luck to ya and hope you enjoy your TP2!

Re: Anyone overclocked their TP2

Sounds like alot of work for a backup phone.

I love phones but not really into it.
I'll just keep it on there.
I probably won't be selling it considering the battery works on my EVO and it charges it. I was hoping to do a hard reset. I know how... The phone just won't go there... It never pulls up bootloader.
Oh well.

Re: Anyone overclocked their TP2

That's weird. Have you tried doing a "Clear Storage" from START/SETTINGS/System? I think Sense has it also under Settings/Security/Factory Reset.

If that doesn't work, this will for sure:
1. Download this: ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Touch%20Pro%20...60660_Ship.exe
2. Run it.
3. It's the equivalent of a hard reset.
