[RESOLVED] Using a HTC Touch Pro2 on AT&T GoPhone (prepaid) Network?

lol i'll get it right one day, i have one question tho. are u still able to send MMS from this HTC without the data plan? i tried sending a picture and it is still in the outbox.

I use to use gophone prepaid about a year ago. You'll get charge the pay per use data fee when sending/receiving mms (or text) on a gophone prepaid sim. I think its like 0.20-0.25/kb but I could be wrong. Check their website for the exact amount. And for it to work, you need to turn on data in the comm manager and have at&t's data setting set up on your device (you can do this manually).

$0.01 per KB.haha $0.20/KB would be insane, like 200dollar bill from a one megabyte MMS :\

still tho, that's kinda expensive since most MMS files will be above 200KB, so that's already 2bucks/MMS. i'll just have to live without picture SMS whatever tho, the benefits of this smartphone outweigh any negatives.

On my vzw phones I don't pay for the extra mms and text capability, I just have my friends text and mms to my hotmail. It doesn't cost them extra and it doesn't cost me any more than i already pay for my data plan. I know you would want to stay away from using data, but if you use the email option you could send and recieve sms and mms instantly when you are near wifi.

he's pretty much saying that his friends email him his messages.

They text from their dumb phones to my email that i get on my smart phone. It shows up as (555)555-555@vzwtext.com and i can respond to them with the same address. It shows up as a text on their phone.
