One thing, though, that I found was that if I disable the Twitter tab (and make sure you also disable the auto update) that my memory usage dropped considerably. I reverted back to moTweets (free version) for my tweeting. Running moTweets uses less memory and I get more features to boot! I held off updating to MR1 b/c Sense had not been updated. I love Sense's 2.5 UI. I am now wondering if I should unlock the phone and try Mr. X's ROM or Mighty ROM. I have visited MightyROM.com, but what are the differences between MightROM and Mr. X ROM? |

Is there an opposite for the disable lock or some type of directions to turn this off or on manually? I never ran it but for some reason now my phone won't lock when i hit the Sleep button. Also i knwo there is a way to map the LOCK key on the Manila home screen.

Lock to left soft key Cab; It takes the place of the "Phone" soft key. Hard Key is right below. Why have both!!

Re: Verizon Touch Pro2 MR2 Update includes Sense 2.5
am I the only one that loves this update? figures HTC fixed all the bugs I didn't like on Sense 2.1. while VZW's upgrade from Win Mo 6.1 to 6.5 seemed like it was forced, buggy & rushed since they are all working on Win 7 phones. i have no complaints. installed some cabs to config the way I want and now its perfect. especially loving the ported Swype w/ HTC skin. so cool. as well as the Youtube links from outside the browser opening with the dedicated player and closing thereafter. props to marcvalme for that one. no complaints yet. if anyone wants, pm me & ill let you know my exact setup w/ all cab links. made my phone 100 times more enjoyable. and im one of the peeps that wanted to unlock but was always scared to and always said i was about to but never did. rocking a VZW 6.5 w/ MR2 still locked, all stock. lol

MR2 (I am running Xs fixed version) w/ CHT 1.8.5 is like someone said earlier in the thread - it feels like a new phone. It is so much more usable and SNAPPY. However, I do not see the memory leak issue that others are (at least havent yet - knock on wood). |

Re: Verizon Touch Pro2 MR2 Update includes Sense 2.5
Well, I have the twitter tab disabled and still get the memory leaks.
From a soft reset, it runs somewhere ~55%. After about 2hrs, its up to ~65% After about 8hrs, its up to ~80% and doesn't ever seem to come down from there. Posted it earlier that even running cleartemp or cleanram doesn't fix it. Just the softreset but after 8hrs its back in the 80% range. Its usable but get some errors at 80% and above with Opera9.7. I have cht 1.8.5 installed. Have seen some report that going back to cht 1.7 (or 1.6) helped with the memory leaks...... I tried uninstall cht 1.8.5 but the memory leaks were still there....not as sever but still there. Have 240+ Contacts (roughly 15 are Facebook linked), calendar appointments is about 150, no tasks. I did try running a full day with NO Contacts in the phone. Didn't help. Then tried running with 240+ contacts but NO Facebook links....still didn't help. Tried without Contacts AND without Appointments. Still didn't help.....still memory leaks but just not as severe. My typical day is 75 to 100 emails via ActiveSync (Push email), 25 to 30 txts and about 1 mms every other day. So don't appear to be doing anything out of wack as far as use of the phone (I run Citrix off the phone occasionally but I kill the ICA client service as soon as I am done with the session).

Re: Verizon Touch Pro2 MR2 Update includes Sense 2.5
I tried getting rid of the Twitter tab, because I rarely use it, once in a while I do, and when I do I log in, I don't keep it logged in. Anyway, it only dropped my ram usage by about 2%. Went from 70-71% to 68-69%. I'll try running without the tab for a while and see how that goes.
P.S. anyone have any thoughts on this....? Quote:
