Mr. X, can you help! I spoke with Verizon, they bounced me to HTC and then HTC told me to use another computer to download the MR2 upgrade. So I then used my Netbook (Windows XP) Desktop is Vista Ult.

I downloaded your file first by the way..anywho..I have spent more time than any human should, but in any event..BOTH HTC MR2 and your upgrade (after download) will not let me install. My computer indicates that both files are corrupted? HTC Cust. Serv. even downloaded file from their site and they said they had not problems. I tried this on two different computers to no avail. This is just crazy. I've even uninstalled my Norton's Sercurity. Disabled Firewall too. Can you suggest anything, or can anyone else?

I look forward to anyone's help & support with this strange problem.
Oh, my HTC touch pro 2 is running the 6.5 VZW stock rom.

do you have a slow or crappy internet connection? try using a download manager. or your computer is infected with crap. run malwarebytes.org

Thank you sooo much! I'll get on this right away! Funny thing this computer is a couple yrs. old. never a problem. have Nortons Security, catches any slight thing (if any) I even tried to dl from a different computer! Still problem!

Crap, I hope this isn't a double post thing? Anway, I CAN'T even dl mallscan. I'm running Nortons. do you think that could be it?

mines all done and looks beautiful!! Love the tabs on the home page to load up programs.

One question, why does it say on my phone it is switching to global mode when I update?? Has always done this when I do a hard reset or anything??

Yes, it will always do that.

Rom is running great!

it will say switching to global mode if the sim card is present. you can go in after the fact and force it to only CDMA in settings under phone.

Why would u pay to unlock? I have never had to pay to unlock my VZW TP2.
Now onto my question: I also previously unlocked / activated my Sim card by calling Verizon and getting the Sim card unlock #. I can't tell if it got erased when installing the MR2? I don't use the Sim card but unlocked it in the past just b/c it was nice to know it could be used. Do i have to call them again to activate the Sim card. How do I tell if anything has changed? Thanks for the help.
