I stand corrected. I am still getting this weird error when trying to send or recieve pic messages. I get a little blue envelope in the notification bar at the top and it says the data connection needs to be closed. If I turn off data and resend it connects and works but that wont work for incoming messages. verizon reset the account but that didnt seem to work for more than a day or 2. anyone esle still having this issue? any fixes?

Hey all so I have another question I see that the Mr. X Rom fixed the Black Screen Lock up, but I have my phone all setup the way I want it to other than that. Is there some cab or file I can load to fix that? If not do I need to have my phone "unlocked" in order to put on the Mr. X Rom, or does it just load like the MR1 or MR2 upgrade. I have never used a custom Rom or anything other than the stock that came with my TP2 and the MR1 and MR2 upgrades. Thanks in advance.

mr.x has not provided a method of just fixing the sod with a cab, but the speculation of the htcservices.dll causing SOD came up a couple months ago and a cab was made for it. you can get it here http://www.ziggy471.com/downloads/?did=17.
you have to be hardspl unlocked to flash his rom.

While I have been using WinMo for years, I am a newbie to unlocking & custom ROMs. I am still running the stock 6.1 ROM.

When you say that before installing MR2 you need to make sure that the phone locked, are you talking about the SIM being unlocked? I had VZW unlock my SIM for international travel. Is this something I need to worry about?

no, it's refering to hardspl unlock for flashing custom roms. different from sim unlock. if you've never download the hardspl unlocker and unlocked your phone, then you dont have to worry about it.

If I understand the entries above...Mr. X ROM doesn't include the "new radio".
I have already flashed the MR2 update. If I unlock and flash the Mr.X "Fix ROM" the new radio from the MR2 update stays....Right?
