Customization. More of a pain than a gain. Just like the roms are nice, but almost..well not almost, every single one of them has SOME kind of bug that you just have to suck up and swallow. And on top of that Android is just as customizable WITHOUT needing to do all of the unnecessary tweaks just to make the phone run like it should out of the box anyways.

As far as other OS' cant even begin to compare to it.. that part is just a joke. Constant freezes, sleep of death, old apps... SLOW.. the only real benefit is exchange and even that isnt an issue with the new Android 2.1 update. It seems to me like people are just afraid of change or something but it's no secret that the majority of android's new customers come from winmo. I had a tp2 and switched and pretty much everything about it is better to me. Personally winmo doesnt offer anything that would make me stick with an outdated OS.. and as far as WP7 being better... you mean the iphone clone? SMH... none of the other OS touch it but they took pretty much a carbon copy of what Apple did and threw WP7 on it. Irony.

everyone says that wp7 is just an iphone clone, but since when does the iphone do widgets???

Im staying on WinMo because I've only had this TP2 for 6 months and dont feel like spending like 600 bucks on a new Android device. Ive had windows phones for years, and everytime I get a new one, Im hoping it will be fast and responsive.

Looks like Im never gonna get that wish. How hard is it to make a smartphone that's snappy and responsive. It's not like the OS is getting any real updates. Something as beefy as the TP2 should run WinMo easily.

Instead, I get 5-10 second delays when texting.. doesnt even make sense.

Well guys, I started this thread, and although I did state that I was STAYING with WinMo.....my TP2 crapped out on me for the FOURTH time.

I feel like the world's biggest hypocrite after starting this thread, but I too will be leaving WinMo.

My TP2's charging port failed in the end. It would no longer charge with the HTC cable or sync to the computer with the HTC USB cable. It would however charge with my RAZR charger (min USB).

Took it in to the store and the lady said the same old "we can send a refurb to you." But this time, she encouraged me to call Verizon Customer Service since this would be my FIFTH TP2.

I called over to Verizon Customer Service, and it turned out "incredible"

They are sending me a BRAND NEW in the box Droid Incredible for free! I get to keep my current TP2 as well! It still runs perfect, charges fine (with mini USB cable, not HTC cable), it just won't sync to computer.

I think I came out pretty well

think about that statement.. 30-40GB movies??? lol i think your confused.. a good hd movie is about 4.7 to 5 or 6GB.. a normal quality dvd is anywhere from 700,800mb to 1,1.5GB...

and i dont know about the output honestly..the 720p is the max the cam can record in.. output and camera quality are 2 different things.. though u could be right that output is still only 720p

Android has really made a lot of leaps in the last year. I like that it's an OS with a future. What I don't like is the aging WM platform. It's dated, support has been officially killed, it's obtuse at times, and it's really really slow, even on a fast phone like the HD2. WM7 is going to leave us all behind, and 6.5 is not going to hold up next to the new iPhone OS, Palm OS, BB OS, and Android.
