Re: STAYING with WinMo
Im staying on WinMo because I've only had this TP2 for 6 months and dont feel like spending like 600 bucks on a new Android device. Ive had windows phones for years, and everytime I get a new one, Im hoping it will be fast and responsive.
Looks like Im never gonna get that wish. How hard is it to make a smartphone that's snappy and responsive. It's not like the OS is getting any real updates. Something as beefy as the TP2 should run WinMo easily. Instead, I get 5-10 second delays when texting.. doesnt even make sense. Last edited by crazed_z06; 05-20-2010 at 06:22 PM. |

In addition to the crazy speed, I have had NO issues whatsoever, and I've been running the rom for nearly two months now. Just do a task29, flash the rom, and boom... your tweaking is done. Oh yeah, and another thing. A lot of winmo's apps may be old, but they work perfectly (depending on which one you install). And as a result, you get a phone that works like you want it with minimal tweaking involved. Nearly ANYONE, even those who worship good looks on their devices, would choose my phone over any OS out there. The only thing that might change their minds is their built in hate for winmo, no matter how good it runs.

Re: STAYING with WinMo
Still dealing with random crashes, battery drain outs overnight etc. Movign on to Android. I started with the Treo 600 using the palm os and was thrilled to move to a multitasking enviornment with the PPC 6700. Now 5 winmobile phones later (all with their individual problems), I am glad to leave.

But those moving to other platforms should realize that winmo is getting better too, and IMO, it has always stayed on top of the other platforms, ESPECIALLY the iphone. But the bottom line is, it all depends on what you want. It's that way with every product on the market, from potato chips to cars. |
