You've got to really be trying to have that many spelling/grammar errors in one post, I applaud your efforts. That being said, maybe it'll turn green or yellow soon if you keep touching it.

Funny you say that. That battery is for a TP1 and the battery works perfect, but ya don't let sprint see that sticker activated. As soon as they see it (CS rep) they will flag your account. The only way to get around that is.... Take it to a repair center have them tear apart the phone and look for water damage. If you don't have any, have them document it in your account that there is NO water damage to your phone. Then ask them for a print out (your own personal hard copy) just to C.Y.A. Then you can get it replaced without having to pay for it....... if the sticker is activated.

Yeah, typing while being angry will cause you to have spelling errors- it happens to the best of us. You know, the sticker may just turn green or yellow if i keep touching it who knows, and Sprint may just start requiring their techs to actually have a high school diploma instead of just being legal working age.

You know that's a good idea. The bad part about it is that there's a Sprint Tech in this thread who will probably go back and advise Sprint of what we're doing.

Re: Is sprint deliberately setting TP2 users up void warranty?

use clear nail polish, friend of mine spilled a pitcher of beer and it pooled around his TP2, he had clear nail polish over his LDI and it didnt get tripped.

Re: Is sprint deliberately setting TP2 users up void warranty?

I've had this thing since shortly after it came out. I don't remove the battery cover constantly or anything, but I do remove it. Either to change the battery, take out the sim card for android, or to do a reset...

My sticker is visibly fine. As perfect as day 1.

Sorry for your troubles, but I can't relate.

NP Chronster. I don't expect everyone to relate, or even have the same issue. It just sucks to get the short end of the stick, when you're truly not trying to beat the system.

....However I did get some great tips from everyone. I'll be using them the moment I get my new phone too!

Re: Is sprint deliberately setting TP2 users up void warranty?

Per Service and Repair Guidelines, The LDI is for guidance purposes only. As long as there is no visible corrosion, or customer confession, a SRC can swap the phone even if an LDI is tripped. Now wether or not you get a tech that will actually do the swap is a different story.

My touch screen stop working today so i took it to the sprint repair center. The guy pops of the battery cover and says its because of moisture damage...look this sticker on the side is red. I had this same issue with sprint b4 and told him dude this phone has never been exposed to moister or water the sticker is wrong. He looked at the sticker on the battery, and the one on the mother board and neither showed signs of being exposed to water, and he agreed that it couldn't be water damage but couldn't replace it because of the sticker on the side due to sprints policy.

my point is, why would sprint make it to where you have to take the cover off the phone to soft reset it. When you do that you're bound to touch the moister sticker with your hand, which would cause it to turn red after numerous touches due to moister in your skin. This way they can void your warranty and force you to use Assurion or buy a new one!
I have the same issue. Just left the sprint store and they ordered me a new phone. He knew immediately that is was moisture and my screen wasn't responding at all. He asked me if my fingers sweat! What!!!! Do my fingers sweat? What kind of question is that? End result, I pick up my new phone Friday.
