Strange because PRL update and Profile update worked fine for me after installing on my Sprint TP2. I guess I was lucky I am currently running SPRINT NEODIUM V6

damn i wish i woulda read this thread first... found that swype was working from an outside page and the link took me to a single post from this thread... i guess those guys at Swype really figured it out this time.

did you restart the phone after installing? if you did not restart the phone and you ran prl, it shuld work because the changes have not officially been made

EXACTLY... my email account was not messed up UNTIL I did a soft reset... I didnt even think about trying sprint TV or prl/profile until someone mentioned it here

So I have my own rom cooked with Calk's kitchen and the update profile and PRL still work after soft resets although I experience no data, went and edited my connection settings and saved now works fine only problem otherwise is sprint TV, I use Swype more than sprint tv so i am keeping this for now.

One thing I was thinking of would be a mortscript that would change the MODELID txt file before the launch of a carrier program, i.e sprint tv. Not sure if this would work But I am going to try.

Its going to do more mess then you think.. I think this is what messed up the ability to have the FACEBOOK APP (the stand alone one not the one from TF3D) not save my username and password correctly.. I am not sure though.. trust me, until someone gets a fix, take it off. If you are on a cooked rom, you can follow my instructions to fix your data, carrier specific programs etc (since cooked roms have a provisioning cab). you will also need to use the FIX EMAIL program I mentioned a few posts ago. Those of you on stock rom, HARD RESET is the only way...

so i'm wondering if you run PRL before restart, it will clean up the tmo mess and keep data working after restart... who wants to test? LOL

im facing the same problem, mess up email acct and data, but i really dont wanna hard reset my phone yet, anyone have a safe way to return back to normal? im using the stock sprint rom.

You can use the email fix program I linked to to fix the email. If you are on a stock ROM, then I have no idea how you are going to fix the data issues.. I am on MIGHTY and it it has a provisioning program installed. I had to re-run that so that it reset all the phone settings to the proper setup. All is working fine now.. no hard reset needed...
