Re: Swype 3.9. I need some help from the pros.

So... I installed the "fixed" cab, but the ROM I'm using has 2.0 cooked in, and it seems as though it's still running 2.0.

Is there a way to disable the cooked version? or do I need a reflash to something else?

I keep changing the text input to swype but it wont stick. As soon as I check out of it, it resets back to touch input.

Re: Swype 3.9. I need some help from the pros.

DO NOT USE ANY OF THE CABS ON HERE THAT USE THE TEXT FILE TO MAKE IT WORK. it will SCREW UP YOUR PHONE PROVISIONING, EMAIL, etc. If you are on a custom rom as I am, you can run the carrier CAB and then fix the email issues etc. but on a stock rom, you will have to do a hard reset and start over...

Stick with Version 2.0 which is what I am using now...

I have uploaded a new version in the second post that does not change the model name and will not mess up your device (I did not make this i found it while perusing the interwebs)

Can anybody else give this a try? I want to, but I'm scared? lol

Also, can it be installed over original, or does the other need uninstalled first?

Swype is not permitted on any devices other than the Samsung Omnia II. I'll let it slide on the infractions but do not continuing discussing this!
