Re: Swype 3.9. I need some help from the pros.
I was thinking, can't we just change that text file to show it as touch pro 2? or did some people say that will wreak havoc w/ other applications and phone settings??

@indagroove is you EXT overwriting the modelid.txt file or do you have another method? While it works when cooked in you will loose carrier apps because the device reports as a Tmobile device. Sprint TV is an example.

Re: Swype 3.9. I need some help from the pros.
Ok, so I really wanna' try Swype out. I am WAY behind the curve though. I just found out about it. I started reading some of this thread, and I get that there are problems, but what is the final story?
Is the fixed cab actually working for those of us with TP2's? Anything special that has to be done? Or is it better to stick with 2.0? |

I'll try that one for now. Really wish they could get the newer version working. Would like to compare both. I'll give the first a try. Is there any other competing products out that are as good or better then Swype? Or is this the first of it's kind? |

Hi! SlideIt is another program like Swype, but it is not free..... I like Swype better, though, because SlideIt messes with HTC Album.... Enjoy Swype!
