Multi tasking, people are putting too much on it, the program doesn't actually close, it pauses or freezes. in the video i posted, the operator opened a program, went to the home screen, then went back into an app and it was at the same place, it didnt load all over again. Of course they probably still have some features that they haven't shown, but they have shown off everything that was a neccessity to see how it was going to function. Of course it will be able to be unlocked eventually, just like the iphone or android, but what is that really going to do for functionality? just like with android, rooting your phone only allows you to install certain apps and overclocking processor, but the os' doesn't change. We will probably be able to unlock and install whatever programs you want as well, but without unlocking it or jailbreaking it, right out of the box it makes the most sense to only allow apps from the windows marketplace, so i'm banking on that rumor being true.

Yea I completely agree with the custom roms part. Its ironic because the people that were thinking about going to Android said that they wanted a phone that works out of the box. But now some people are saying, wait, I want to flash roms. haha.
I think they only showed the features that is going to wow the average consumer. Lets face it, everyone on PPC Geeks is not the average consumer. We are all tech savvy and want the latest and greatest. But if Microsoft wants to regain lost market share, then they have to appeal to the common consumer.
I feel like they are still holding back a good amount of information. For instance, we haven't even seen the phone features yet lol. After the unveiling, I was like "wait a minute, what about the phone?" We haven't seen the apps or xbox integration. (Although that engadget review touched up on it.) And of course the Office suite, I feel like Microsoft will have a conference for that alone. I want to know about the e-mail integration and the works.
I know Microsoft started completely from scratch but can you see them messing up the business aspects of WM? I dont know, I really hope they don't and that the features you and I are accustomed to don't vary too much.
