lol give the guy a break there is a work around now so we can still get it to work...yeah the main things they had @ mwc were stuff most power user wont/dont use like xbox & facebook but im sure there is more i dont use facebook like that & i dont really care that its added but its just the OS seems like it was built to tie into each other & work together, like how pandora can be added to the music hub & work along side zune...i think there is so much potential with this OS

whats dumbed down?? & if its so dumbed down why cant most wm phones run it.. lack of multitasking? we dont know & from the looks of it the whole os looks like a big pot of multitask, only thing bad i can see is that you need to use the zune software to sync your music & vids besides that & the plain main screen, it freakin rocks..how can i not like it? no load icons/screens, zune added, & xbox live -that right there has me sold, if i have to give up true multitasking so the apps pause instead of keep playing so be it

not anymore u just ruined it
I agree, group hug time. Forum fights are stupid.

I have been using WM for a long time, and I've grown quite comfortable which is why this whole revamping makes me mad. What irritates me most is that its not backwards compatible, so if I switch its bye-bye to all the money I've spent on apps that I still use every day. Also, from everything I've read so far, multitasking has either been removed altogether or severely limited. I love multitasking. I have multiple programs open at any given time & I am not willing to give that ability up. I say its dumbed down because the guy in the youtube video says its not aimed at business users, but *average* users, and there's an emphasis on social networking & games & media. Its like they're trying to veer away from the pocket PC genre, and I don't like that. I DO want a mini-computer in my pocket, I don't wanna have to carry my laptop around everywhere. Portable computing is the whole reason I got into PDAs & smartphones to begin with.

I admit- I don't know the intimate details of 7 yet, and it might not be as bad as it looks. But so far it seems like they're trying to counter Apple & go the 'Zune phone' route. Do. Not. Want.

I'm just hoping they're simply ADDING 7 to their lineup as an option, and not trying to replace good old WinMo with it...

I would love to take credit for the awsome theme, but it isn't mine. I was just linking to the theme I ran on my phone like a year ago and just looked for the post.....When I saw the video of WM7 it just reminded me of WM7.....I guess you guys think that as well....

It's ok to take the credit. Coz I take credit for Windows 7 too. I always say that Windows 7 is my idea.

yeah maybe if i invested money into apps then i mite be mad, but at the same time i would replace them with better things, we can only play classics on Nintendo for so long until ps3 comes with bigger & better things no matter how much money i had invested in my first xbox (i had lots) i still didnt value it as much when the 360 came yeah sure i wish they had certain games for for it but now looking back i cant even tell u what they were because what i have now makes them a after thought & as far as where ever u saw that they said that its for average users, ive seen the opposite where M$ says they went to businesses & asked what did they want..they could have been lying & put out what they wanted but @ least they have ya'll in mind & i realize that u dont really see wp7 as a upgrade so some of the stuff i said mite not apply & also if u dont know anything bout games then it mite not make any sense

What do you do with your phone now that you don't think WP7 will be able to do when it comes out? I'm just curious, not trying to start anything lol.

Oh, I'm sure I'll be able to accomplish the same things with 7, that's not the issue. The issue is that I don't want to abandon all the familiar, well-loved programs that I've used since 2005. Also, I like the way 6.x is structured, I know it inside & out, and I don't wanna have to learn a new OS. I like having all the options that I do now with 6.x, I don't need/want a 'simplified' OS. This is why I keep saying they need to offer both 7 & 6.x.

All in all- I'm sure if I HAD to adapt, I could. But I like the way things are now, and I just hate being unnecessarily uprooted.

Kabuk... Tell me about your childhood...
Were you a happy child. How many schools did you attend? Military brat? LOL.
I know what you mean. I resist change too but I figure if this is where things are headed... So am I... I even signed up and got a facebook account and guess what? I found my long lost sister. I haven't seen her in about 20 years. Sometimes change is good. I'm looking forward to the second and third release already. lol
