whats dumbed down?? & if its so dumbed down why cant most wm phones run it.. lack of multitasking? we dont know & from the looks of it the whole os looks like a big pot of multitask, only thing bad i can see is that you need to use the zune software to sync your music & vids besides that & the plain main screen, it freakin rocks..how can i not like it? no load icons/screens, zune added, & xbox live -that right there has me sold, if i have to give up true multitasking so the apps pause instead of keep playing so be it

not anymore u just ruined it
I agree, group hug time. Forum fights are stupid.

I have been using WM for a long time, and I've grown quite comfortable which is why this whole revamping makes me mad. What irritates me most is that its not backwards compatible, so if I switch its bye-bye to all the money I've spent on apps that I still use every day. Also, from everything I've read so far, multitasking has either been removed altogether or severely limited. I love multitasking. I have multiple programs open at any given time & I am not willing to give that ability up. I say its dumbed down because the guy in the youtube video says its not aimed at business users, but *average* users, and there's an emphasis on social networking & games & media. Its like they're trying to veer away from the pocket PC genre, and I don't like that. I DO want a mini-computer in my pocket, I don't wanna have to carry my laptop around everywhere. Portable computing is the whole reason I got into PDAs & smartphones to begin with.

I admit- I don't know the intimate details of 7 yet, and it might not be as bad as it looks. But so far it seems like they're trying to counter Apple & go the 'Zune phone' route. Do. Not. Want.

I'm just hoping they're simply ADDING 7 to their lineup as an option, and not trying to replace good old WinMo with it...
