Edit: It was active under me still. They said there needs to be 24hrs in between. I think we were under that time.

Here is what buyer just told me:
"Thanks I did esn swap online twice and chat with CD twice they did swap still no luck. Called tech support twice they walked me through it twice and went to store. Here is the problem.... when I put in the ## code it never takes me to the edit screen to enter the maid and msn numbers. This may clarify problem."

I would try and flash back to the stock rom. If the buyer doesnt know how or doesnt want to, then I would refund once phone is received and fix what needs to be fix.

Sprint said it was a 24 hour power off issue and to have her call them at the 888-211-4727 number. The rep said this happens from time to time and she knew how to fix it.

I know this is hind-sight, I gave my TP2 to my girlfriend and made sure the Sprint OEM ROM was on it first, then did the ESN swap then flashed with MightyROM

She will be able to do an ESN swap using her online Sprint account. It will give her instructions on how to do this along with a PRIMARY and SECONDARY code to enter and the MDN and MSID

She will take the PRIMARY number and enter it on her phone like this
##PRIMARYNUMBER#
That will take her to VIEW EDIT SAVE, click EDIT
Enter the MDN (ok)
Enter the MSID (ok)
the two number might be the same or could be different, just enter what Sprint gives you on the site
DONE>SAVE
Phone will reboot

This will hopefully get her going... I am doing this all from memory

You might want to arrange for her to call you from a land line and you can walk her through setting up the MSID

Hey guys, I am the one who bought the phone from OP. I have swapped ESNs several times but this is the first problem I have had. Here is what I did. I first went online chat to activate phone. They swapped ESNs turned phone on did not automaticaly proram as HTCs are supposed to. Tried to manually program as they directed me to. When I got to the ##******# code the edit (MDN MSID) option never opened up.

They asked me to call tech support after numerous attempts and reseting phone. Tech support went through everything again....still same problem with ## codes. Was transfered again to someone else after numerous attempts again to get ## code to work. Again steps to activate after another Hard reset. Still no MDN MSID edit screen after ## codes.

Was told to take to Sprint store to over the air activate. Took it and same thing could not get it to activate. Phone shows on my account and online as the phone active on my account but still activation will not complete.

I am not upset with Eric at all. Just want to be able to use it.

I would flash back to the Stock rom. If the dialer is in fact GSM the ## codes will never work... Look for RUU_Rhodium_W_Sprint_WWE_1.21.651.3_RS_1.96WF_NV_S PCS_1.42_0430_PRL60652_Ship

On these forums flash it and you should be good to go. Or you can flash to mightyrom (the best) and provision for sprint and be good to go as well. PM me and I can give ya my number and you can call me if you like and I can walk ya thru it. The TP2 is a great phone.

Sprint tech at the store said they tried to install correct software cause they saw the 6.5 and said it would not allow them to that is why they said it was fried. But maybe they didn't know what they were doing... worth a shot.

Thanks I may do that tomorrow if I can't get it to work. Gotta get up early.....lol
