i liked the sprint nav until i played with igo8. igo8 is a sick program, esp when it just runs off the sdcard no install required. excellent interface customizable with skins and a ton of info with tts, great program imho

The Garmin XT program is free. Can download it from Garmin free of charge and install it. But without the maps it does you no good.

Maps are not free and not included in the above link (MODS, link is direct from Garmin so I don't see any issues with post this).

I've had no problems with Sprint Nav, though I have Everything Data, so it's free for me.

Sprint Nav requires internet. Garmin, TomTom and iGo8 require no cell phone service.

Garmin speaks but does not have true TTS... it tells you when to turn, but not street names... I prefer Garmin XT over others mentioned in the thread personally, but everyone has their own tastes...

I use Igo8 at the moment and find it's user interface very easy to use and finger friendly. However TTS I haven't gotten to work on custom roms. I've read it works on stock roms though. I will try Garmin XT but I'm really waiting for Navigons latest one for windows mobile which I don't think is available yet.

Listen, www.amazegps.com get the navigation for free. no hassle and its turn by turn, map, and satellite view, with bell indicators. ie, in 500 feet exit right.... ding dong...... exit right. what more can you ask 4.

kinda off topic but which gps programs allow to you drag the map around? i was using garmin xt on my friends touch diamond but it doesnt let you drag the map around to look at other parts like on a normal gps

I read the install thread but found it rather confusing.
