I don't know what else to tell you man.
1: the document viewer is NOT better than the actual app, lol. Listen to yourself man. i can actually create a document, view a document, edit an existing document, whatever i want. There is no way an app viewer that doesn't do anything else is better, lol. Like you said, when you finally get that finctionality, i will have had it for a year already- or like 10 years in this case.

2: You do NOT have access to the full youtube, lol. Just stop man, clearly you don't know what you're talking about. You have access to the things on the youtube site that are designated as mobile content. Youtube streams mobile content at a lower rate than regular content. THAT is what you have access to. You do not have access to the full desktop version of the site. You're just wrong man.

3: Yes, I know there are tethering apps on android. I also know google blocked said apps on the G1 when it was first launched.

the document viewer is better, now if you need to physically make changes then winmo is better. i wonder how many tp users actually use word and excel to make changes on a daily from their phone, i know i don't which is why i got rid of my tp2 for the time being.

you have access to full youtube from the phone, you don't know what youre talking about. i can take a video right now and upload it to my account just from my actual camera, and this is built into the os. i have full access.

why do you KEEP talking about the 1st android phone which launched 2 years ago. you do realize there is the moto droid, ervius, moment, hero, mytouch 3g, and the samsung behold. take out the moment and hero and every other android phone is better then winmo 6.5.

I'm done with the debate p-slim and i'm not going to call you a troll because you disagree with me just not my style. But to speak on word, i use it everyday. i am a musician and i write all my music in my phone using word, i use excel not everyday but sometimes for work to edit documents. I can't speak on youtube because i rarely use it but when i do i usually find what i want with the included htc you tube app, which looks waaayyy better on my phone then the youtube app on the iPhone. Also the mytouch is definitely not better then the tp2 lol, and neither is the moment. the Hero is actually better then both of those phones, and you just said yourself take out the hero lol

And Winmo still has plenty. Again, it has slingplayer right now, not at some point in the future. It also has word and excel, has the ability to view full versions of web pages, full desktop version of youtube, and the ability to install apps on the storage card. It also doesn't have an app nazi telling you what you can and can't do with your phone like iphone and Palm (see the palm devices getting tethering blocked on Verizon until big brother finally allowed it the other day, and even google blocking tethering on the G1).

AT&T announced Thursday that it would allow the SlingPlayer Mobile application for the iPhone to stream video over the wireless provider's nationwide 3G network.

Sling Media's SlingPlayer allows users to watch video recorded at home from anywhere on the go. Previously, the SlingPlayer Mobile application for the iPhone was limited to Wi-Fi-only access to streaming video, due to bandwidth concerns on the 3G network.

But AT&T revealed that it has worked with Sling Media to ensure the SlingPlayer Mobile application has been optimized to run on its high-speed 3G network. Sling Media created a new version of its application that conserves bandwidth for 3G data connections, and AT&T has been testing the new software since December. Thursday, AT&T revealed it has notified both Apple and Sling Media that the new, "optimized" application is acceptable for use on its 3G network.
Guess you can cancel that argument too LMFAO!!!

Last May, AT&T said it did not allow a 3G version of SlingPlayer on the iPhone because it would use too much bandwidth and could "prevent other customers from using the network. Now, AT&T has advertised it will provide developers with wireless network optimization requirements for video and other applications by the end of March at its developer-oriented Web site, developer.att.com.
As you can see it was NEVER an issue with the iphone, it was an issue that there are SO many iphones on the network they didnt want to crash it. Guess you have to find something else to harp on now.

#1: There is no way a document viewer is better than the actual document. Give it up man, that doesn't even almost make sense. How does it "view" the document better than the app you created it in, lol.

#2: I know you can upload a video from you rphone right now. and it will say it was uploaded from your phone on the site. You still can NOT access any of the content that isn't available to mobile devices. You have no idea what you're talking about here.

#3: I am comparing the G1 to new Winmo phones to show you how stupid your argument is. You think the HD2 will suck based on what you have seen form your Nexus One. And you are only comapring your Nexus One to an older winmo phone, running a crappy interface. And then your main complaints are device speed and user interface. LOL, well I can do that too and winmo comes out on top.

So Apple will someday have one of the things that Winmo has RIGHT NOW, and has had for YEARS. Tell me which one is innovative and which one is playing catch up again? lol

True iPhone fanboy to act like you don't care about something and then when you get it (or in this case, it gets announced that someday you will get it) act like it's a great move. Man I called that one, lol.

Re: Who plans to go HD2?

Oh and FYI slingbox sales are barely into the 6 figure mark... less than 60% of which are used for mobile media. Google is your friend.. globally there are 300+ million mobile phones... 70+ million of which are smartphones... but everyone cares about slingplayer based off those numbers right? LOL.. like I said before people lie numbers dont.

ORB Live stream used to work on the iphone on 3g network, and ATT recent decided to gimp it, after about a year of it's release. Will ATT gimp the sling again if they want to?. Hell yes.

Here's ATT's retarded solution on live TV streaming with ORB

http://forums.orb.com/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=24443

Basically they want you to record the show you want to watch on your PC, and stream it. LOL.

Your numbers don't mean jack. If you want to post relevant numbers, show me the percentage os people that own compatible phones that are using sling player. Of course if it doesn't work on the iPhone or Android the number of total mobile phone users will be pretty low. And that doesn't even factor in how many people use it without buying it.

I found this article from 2006 saying Sling Media does not disclose sales numbers, but they are betting most people DO care about sling player on their mobile phones:
http://www.businessweek.com/technolo...303_485877.htm

What numbers do you have?
