I have an open mind man. But saying CDMA gets more or better smartphones than GSM is just crazy talk. Even most of the ones on you rlist were on GSM before CDMA in the USA, not just over seas.

T-Mobile had the My Touch 3G before Sprint had the Hero, T-Mobile also had the Touch Pro 2 before Sprint, T-Mobile had the Motorola Click before Verixon had the Droid, and so on.

And for the record, all of those over seas devices work in the USA. Most of them even have 3G.

And we're not talking exclusives here- the Tilt AT&T carried (and HTC caled the Kaiser or TyTn II or Kaiser over seas) did not even have a CDMA variant at all. Just like the Garmin phone AT&T is selling right now.

Seriously, for every smartphone CDMA gets an exclusive on, there are probably 10 GSM smartphones that don't make it to CDMA. And seriously, if you don't agree with that, then you are the one who needs to open your mind.

Same difference. The bottom line is CDMA devices will NOT work on WiMax at all unless they include special hardware. The point he was trying to make is that Wimax and CDMA were somehow the same, and they are not. Sprint is launching an entirely new Wimax network. They just happen to have a CDMA network already. Verizon also has a CDMA network but is not launching WiMax.

Elaborate please. They look slightly different but the specs are quite similar. Much like the Sprint Hero and Verizon Droid Eris.

We were talking about exclusives. Not timed exclusives. Not who got what first. I find it hilarious that you are grasping at straws saying that the cliq and droid are the same. By that account the TP2 and HD2 are the same so why are we all drooling anyways?

Re: Who plans to go HD2?

Verizon is overrated...end of story

Their nickel and diming of their customers is not worth the coverage and if you ever get a phone that isn't a smart phone, you may get it for free, but it's GARBAGE (LG BLOWS).

I've heard my brother and one of my friends say T-Mobile had bad service, but that was 2-3 years ago. I know no one else with T-Mobile.

I had one friend have Sprint and their whole family said the service sucked.

Most of the people I know have Verizon, but mainly because everyone else does. They stop looking after they realize that.

My brother and a couple of my friends are on AT&T with iPhones and they say everything works well (better than I have been reading), but I can no longer trust anything they say about technology because they downgraded to an iPhone.

I've been with T-Mobile for about 6 years without problems. I can't get a signal in some buildings, but that's usually within a concrete fort, why would I expect to. I don't get a great signal at my parents house, but that's another thing to add to the list of reasons not to go over there.

Its just a different radio you're putting dubs on it (special hardware ). As i said it will not be a problem at all. you are closed minded just as wolf said. device availabilty to sprint isn't going to change in the least.

Okay fine, the Click and droid are not the same. So what's your point. CDMA got the Droid, and GSM got the Click. Same difference.

Look here man:

There are at least 10 GSM devices for every CDMA device on that list (probably even more). You want to talk exclusives, that is just the facts there. Now, tell me, how can you look at that list and say you have an open mind, and yet claim CDMA is even in the same stratosphere when it comes to the number of smartphones- let alone actually claiming they get more. Utterly ridiculous.

GSM rules the phone market plain and simple. You can't compete with the global market for phones. US and CDMA are way behind when it comes to that stuff. Phones in Japan already have 12MP cameras and the ability to use them as credit cards at the cash register. GSM dominates completely. It's not a Playstation vs Xbox comparison. It's more like comparing the metric system to the English system.

whoever said we get as many is obviously wrong, i will give that to you guys. Now when it comes to network reliability, coverage, and data speeds cdma is by far better, short and simple.
