Trust me, I had AT&T and now I have Sprint. AT&T data is way better, not even close. And when you factor in coverage inside buildings, GSM destroys CDMA.
Which is only useful if you live in those hotspots. Everywhere else we have awful GSM signal. The CFO at my company and our business office manager both have AT&T, and they're constantly suffering dropped calls and poor performance. Meanwhile, those of us on Sprint only have issues with which awesome phone do we like best.

There really is no reason to have carrier discussion because that's all relevant to where you live. T-Mobile is considered the worst but if you look at my signature I haven't touched my tp2 in weeks and am glad. My only question is what the hell do you mean by awesome phone selection? Sprint has the worst. No real winmo 6.5 out of all companies, no winmo 6.5 bar phone, no android 2.1, they get all the blackberry's last, where do you get that they have the best phone selection? That's a first.

Yes, they totally copied the iPhone. And it's no surprise that everyone is upset about it and planning to dump winmo if it turns out to be true. How shocking indeed.

The iPhone sucks man, give it up.

If that article turns out to be true then you can bet Microsoft is only doing it so carriers will pick up and market more winmo phones. You think Sprint and Verizon like the fact that you can easily tether with any winmo phone? Or you can install apps without them getting a piece of the cost?

Sounds like even the HD2 cant stop lagging. Wow. Go winmo, see how many people choose the nexus over the HD2. Its a better phone guys. and with the recent rumors of Winmo 7, Id switch now.
Look at the date on that, lol. There was an official fix released for the sms lag a while back. Try to find something relevant man.

And yes, see how many people choose the Nexus over the HD2. Oh wait, the HD2 is killing the Nexus in sales. Nice try, but fail.

Yeah they will lose a lot of ppcgeeks due to open source but they will win back a lot of customers that will take advantage of windows mobile 7 and windows desktop 7 plus zune music integration. If you walk into a mall and you stop 30 people, more then likely none of them or maybe one will have a winmo phone, everbody else will have a blackberry, iphone, android, or regular phone, windows wants a piece of that, is that so bad. This is a good direction for them. Once they get backing from developers then I will come back, but that probably wont be for awhile. There will always be a way to get an app to work on your phone. For instance they tried to block wifi tethering, all you have to do is root and you have wifi tethering.
Microsoft is looking at the carriers. They are not caring about the end user at all here. The iPhone has all of these limitations, but everyone who owns an iPhone hates the restrictions.

Microsoft has tethering built into winmo. The carriers always remove it, and we add it back. What Microsoft is doing here is giving the carriers a reason to make a winmo device the one they market non stop and try to push. If they lock it down so customers can't tether, the carriers can then sell tethering. If they lock it down so you can only install apps from the app store, carriers can then get their own app stores and get a piece of the pie when someone buys an app.

So microsoft is marketing this to carriers, not end users. They are leaving the end user marketing up to the carriers. And if this is true, I will not be a part of it.

You keep talking about selling more, android WILL be the most popular OS sold in 2010 unless winmo creates something crazy. You know all your stats you keep quoting are from winmo fans plus those are worldwide stats. I live in the US so i only care about US stats. Symbium or whatever has been the most dominant phone worldwide forever but when was the last time you actually saw someone using a Nokia phone? Samething with winmo, if You walk into a mall and stop 60 people over 21 I doubt any of them will have a winmo phone. I haven't even seen an imagio or pure in real life. The reason the hd2 is selling so much is because anybody who has a winmo feels the urge to upgrade because there phone sucks, anybody with android is happy so they don't feel the urge to upgrade. The only report I care about is in the US, who will sell more handsets in people's hands by the end of 2010, android or winmo 6.5 (or even winmo 7 combined)? its not a hard question.

Once again you don;t seem to know the difference between a fact and an opinion.

Winmo sells more than android. This is a fact. Winmo has a bigger market share than android. This is a fact.

You THINK android will sell more than winmo in 2010. This is your OPINION, not a FACT. You don't THINK anyone in a mall has a winmo phone. This is your OPINION, not a FACT.

One look at the market share numbers should easily prove to even a retard that you are FAR more likely to see a winmo phone than an android phone (opinion). Winmo has a much bigger market share than android- meaning there are more people using winmo than android devices. And this is a FACT, not an OPINION.

That is kind of misleading. I know that analysts project that Android will outsell iphone, WinMo, and others. But its a projection. But say this was true for 2010, it is still in fact misleading. (Which I really do think it will be, not arguing against you.) Prolly the first thing we agreed on haha.

I say this because no manufacturer wants to make a phone with Windows 6.5 because of the fact that WM7 is on the way. And its a well known fact that phones with 6.5 will not be able to upgrade to WM7 because of the hardware specs (besides the HD2). What was the last phone made with WM 6.5...the TP2, Imagio or maybe the Samsung Intrepid (I still shutter when I think of that phone lol.) And I'm talking about in the US.

So to say that Android will outsell WinMo in 2010 is misleading due to the fact that manufacturers are not even making 6.5 phones to begin with. (In US...dont care about Europe.) And WM7 is slated to come out in September. So I think the best you could say is Android will outsell Winmo in Q3 of 2010. But even then I think it would be misleading since WinMO will only have 2-3 (if we are really lucky) phones out compared to Androids ever increasing lineup.

I think it will take time for WM7 to gain public popularity, but I'm sure it will happen in no time. Android started off a little slow with the G1, but look where its at now.

I'm arguing facts. You're arguing opinion, and incorrectly claiming it's a fact.
