You should have no reason to install apps from anywhere else. Wouldn't you want every app available to you in one place? that is the problem with windows now, people install these apps that break the registry and everything gets f'd up. The fact that you think scouring the web for a certain app rather then just going to your marketplace is beyond me? Maybe you think that is whats best for microsoft but I don't, especially if it wants to make $ and win back marketshare as you posted earlier (which by the way discredited your statements not proved them).
#1: Android DOES allow custom interfaces. Your Nexus doesn't have the HTC Sense UI interface, but other phones do.

#2: I want to install whatever app i want, from wherever I want. Again- see google not allowing the tethering app in the G1's app store.

#3: I don't need someone else to do the thinnking for me. Having an app store is cool, but I don't want to be limited to it.

there are a lot to be listed. Secured? Like I said over and over, No phone is secured from that kind of security. But Aside fro the WM vulnerability, It does not have an OS hardware security as well.
Hey I'm not the one who said it didn't need an antivirus because it was based on unix. Again, you were the one saying the iPhone was based on Unix so it was secure (and macs don't run an antivirus). I then posted a link to the iPhone having a virus. Now if you posting that winmo had a virus somehow proves the iPhone doesn't get them, then I guess I understand why you posted those links.

serious question, did they say you can't install cabs from anywhere or did they say you can only save and run the program from the main memory? if its only install programs on the phone instead of the storage card i'm fine with that, but correct, even with android you can install apks from anywhere.

WHat claim is ridiculous? Unix is he most secure OS?
It did too work. They abandoned porting Android. They successfully booted up into Linux and used a USB keyboard on an iPhone running Linux. They also successfully installed a bootloader (which is the same as us using a hard spl).

When talking about security,The 1st thing that goes in ur head is virus.
CID'ing is removing phone security so U can change a lot of things on the phone. On a TP2, U just need to send ur IMEI to cmonex and they will send U a code to remove the phones security as well as unlock it. When ur phone's security is removed, U can easily change the ESN by just typing any no. U want. ANd that is a secured phone?

They loaded Linux on an iPhone, lol. Now you're saying you want to see them write working drivers for all of the hardware? l

They successfully used the USB port and a hardware keyboard in that video. Linux was clearly working. Teh OS was clearly NOT the iPhone OS, and the device was clearly running on another OS.

And no, the iPhone is not more secure. As that video proved, people could be flashing ROMs if they wanted. They have a working bootloader. Heck, they have working Linux.

You're wrong. You keep saying it, but it doesn't make it true. Check this blog:
http://linuxoniphone.blogspot.com/

They had it running well enough to compile and run apps.
