What do you HATE about the TP2?? - Page 10

I love mp TP2, its the best phone I have had yet.. I'm on sprint and I have the 3.5 headphone jack that people complain about not having... now, that being said, here are the only things I hate:

1. bluetooth stack - cant always disconnect when using a bluetooth device (IE - you can not press the hangup button on the bluetooth device and have it always hangup)

2. Camera - Not bad when you do the tweaks but not great and no flash

3. NO NOTIFICATION MANAGER - we had a great program for the TREO called TREO ALERTS PRO and nada for the TP2.. the light blinkks green but you have no idea whay it is blinking..

all the above said, with all the mods I have done, it make the phone one hell of a nice phone... I dont even know if I will do the 6.5 upgrade when it comes out as I have done too many mods to my phone and bet the 6.5 will break them all...

Sigh @ people still using the "designed for business" excuse when its nowhere near the most popular business device.

Blackberry and WinMo dominate the business market. Blackberry was designed for simpler business use and WinMo for more integrated business use. Blackberry just happens to be more popular because it's easier to use. And since Bush got elected twice, there are plenty of people in this country that need things a little simpler.

It is larger than the TP1, but the shape makes it fit in my pocket much more comfortably. The lack of flash and lower quality camera is really my only complaint. I'd really like to have an active digitizer and capacitive touch screen so I could take notes more easily with it, but noone has that yet so I'll just have to wait.

Really great phone so far.

I don't hate anything about the phone, quite an amazing unit really. What does "annoy" me is the sms/mms message sent notification that no one seems to know how to disable. Seems to be the same whether with Sprint or Verizon. I'm with Sprint...

Can't disable that STILL?

To disable that SMS sent notification, in the registry, go to:
HKLM\ControlPanel\Owner and change the hide key from 1 to 0

There a lot of things I don't like about the phone, but seeing as how it allows me to keep the $30 SERO plan, I can live with them.

How do I Hate thee... Let me count the ways

1 - No Official WM 6.5
2 - No soft reset hole
3 - No Ctrl Key
4 - No Flash
5 - No D pad
6 - The power button is in the WORST possible place for using the keyboard! I turn the dams screen off with my index finger all the time!

Even with the above list this is still by far the best phone I have ever owned and I am still running the stock ROM!

I'm good for now... I've found some workarounds while not perfect. At least most of my complaints are fixed, hacked or worked around. Just patiently waiting for W7.
