Re: Help Guys. I Need A Pep-Talk
You definitely don't want the Droid if you go into fringe coverage areas. I have a friend that got the Droid. She lives in a rural marginal coverage area. My TP2 works great out there, but the Droid constantly dropped and missed calls.
She swapped it out for a Droid Eris and doesn't have the missed/dropped calls issue any more. It's probably the difference between a good HTC phone and a mediocre Motorola one. Of course, with the Eris, no hardware keyboard, yadda, yadda, yadda. |

Re: Help Guys. I Need A Pep-Talk
okay...I just came back from the droid to get a touch pro 2...for me it just was ehhh okay.
#1. Logmein is something I use for my work, and with the droid it didnt work, that was a deal breaker for me, might not be for you...but remember this Android is still a young operating system, where as WM has been around for a while, I am 100% sure you will find a solution to everything you need with WM...for Android it might be a while but I am sure they will get there. #2. I LOVE touchflo 3d, and while the droid "homescreens" were nice, I felt constricted with their widgets...where as I feel alot more free with what I can do with my phone with the TP 2..a lot more customization. #3. Google Nav was nice but I had garmin so again the big selling point for me was a wash because i Had a GPS program. #4. The keyboard is cramped...you do get use to it, but once I used the touch pro 2's keyboard I once again realized how small they keyboard was! #5. Dont get caught up in marketing! the Droid is a VERY nice phone and really you cant go wrong with it, but in the same breath the TP 2 is one the same playing field as the droid.

Maybe I'll just stick with the TP2 for the sole reason that the support in this thread is fantastic. Tons of good, informative responses in just a few minutes!

Re: Help Guys. I Need A Pep-Talk
You guys mentioned something about SERO and Sling... I'm a total noob to the HTC front so I have to ask, what are these?

Re: Help Guys. I Need A Pep-Talk
Sling = google slingbox and sling mobile.
SERO=old sprint employee referal program that had very good monthly price. One I got has 500 anytime min, free nights & weekends, unlimited data, text, and pics for 30 bucks a month. After 7 dollar insurance, the monthly fee is about 44 bucks a month after taxes and fees. Since this plan is old, not all sprint PDA phones will work.
