Birthday Sync Problem: Displays 1 day earlier on phone compared to PC
So almost every custom rom I've tried, except CFay's, has this problem.
My contact birthdays in Outlook on the PC are correct and when I sync them to the Phone they display as 1 day early (ie 5/4/1981 to 5/3/1981). I've been reading up on this and found something similar here: http://www.google.com/support/forum/...dc0d5f1a&hl=en I have also noticed that annual events (birthdays and anniversaries) from way in the past sync incorrectly but my most recent annual event on 1/15/2007 syncs correctly. It's been postulated it has to do with all the daylight savings time changes and discrepencies between Outlook on the PC and the pocket calendar. I am currently at work right now so cant test but I found this DST fix from microsoft that was recently released: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...gs-update.mspx If somebody that is having this problem could delete their activesyc partnership, install the updates on both the PC and phone, and then resych with activesyc. See if it works. I'll try to do this tomorrow after work. Anybody else have a fix for this frustrating problem? |

Try puttig in a birthday listed as being in the 80s on one contact, then put in a birthday listed as being in 2009 in Outlook PC. Then resync. See what it does. My events listed as having an origin more recently sync fine. The older ones dont. Still at work. cant test those MS patches yet.

According to that page, this link only fixed issues with times being off an hour, not a day. Has anybody found a fix?

Re: Birthday Sync Problem: Displays 1 day earlier on phone compared to PC
I deleted all the entries from my outlook, then made sure all the dates were correct on my phone, then changed active sync to overwrite the computer entries over the phone, then resynced, then changed active sync back to overwrite the phone entries over the phone ones. And my birthdays and anniversaries haven't been messed up since (like over a month now).

Re: Birthday Sync Problem: Displays 1 day earlier on phone compared to PC
Has anyone else been having this issue? I just noticed it today. It seems that only 2 of my contact birthdays are 1 day sooner on the phone than the PC. All the other ones are fine. Also, for these 2 contacts the today screen kept saying their birthday was tomorrow when they are actually showing June and September on the phone under contacts. I tried deleting them from the phone and resync but that didn't help. Any fix for this?

I found this patch.. I erased the contacts/calendar on my phone. Installed this patch and then did Activesync. Now everything seems to be working:
