Re: VZW aGPS issues anyone?

I have been dealing with the same issue with my 6800. I am running mr1, valhalla, and other than that it is stock. I had verizon enable vznav for free for a month to see if I can get that to work, because registry tweaks only got me to 4 sats outside in two hours... So I installed vznav, activated it, and whaddu know... 10 second locks on 10 sats! Exit out of vznav and googlemaps works like a charm. Wtf I am so angry with verizon for trying to make a buck at the expense of our freedoms... It seems that vznav is enabling agps for at least an hour(googlemaps works instant almost as if the lock never was broken) and then I have to stat vznav again to kickstart the process. I dont know if it's their servers, or the phones, I just hope that we can get this working again it is ridiculous.

Zedoinc, haven't you seen the info on xda or around here at PPCGeeks? The telus settings for aGPS works. Just follow the Valhalla hack (google it if you don't know where it is) and put these numbers in:

For Valhalla:
HKLM\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\Mode = 2
HKLM\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\PDEAddress = 5C8BC6D8
HKLM\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\PDEPort = 8889

For HTC/SUPL AGPS:
EnableAGPS = 1
GPSMode = 4
ServerIP = 216.198.139.92
ServerPort = 8889

There may be more information around if you need more help, but this thread here should get you on the right track.

Any of the old links about hacking the GPS have dead links to the software.
Desperately trying to reactivate GPS on my 6800 running custom Kitchen-made firmware.
HELP!!!

Re: VZW aGPS issues anyone?

I have had other phone issues in the last week and have switched phone 3 times with Verizon support. (Screen problems, loose screens)

All the phones I have gotten I have not been able to get agps working. My original phone I had it working with mr1 and mr2. I'm running DCD ROM now and still can't get agps working.

I hope someone can figure this out.

Re: VZW aGPS issues anyone?

Been reading through threads and am now absolutely fricking confused. (Especially as I've been away from the forums for quite some time as my phone was where I wanted it, and stopped playing with the ROMS)

Basically I'm using BUILDOS to create my own ROM.
Done all the old-school GPSunlocks
- used Olipro 2.4,
- then 3.42 Sprint radio,
- new Akey

How the heck do I get GPS working again, now that Verizon made changes?

Re: VZW aGPS issues anyone?

the changes in post #33 worked like a charm in Greenville, SC. Thanks! 7-9 Sats in 10 seconds, performance on locks close to what it was before, just need to be outside. I appreciate the effort!
