Re: Reg tweaks [07/15/2007 rev.2]

i have just finished reading all 42 pages, and i am new to the 6800. Compared to the 6700, there is one change i would like to see happen. in the messaging screen, regardless if it is text or email, the soft keys say delete and menu. in the 6700 they say new and menu.

does anyone know the registry keys that would change this info to new and menu. also, the delete function would have to be added under menu screen.

thanks in advance!

Re: Reg tweaks [07/15/2007 rev.2]

There is currently no registry key available to change that setting. I am also not aware of any plugins that change the behavior. However, I do know of two methods of creating a new text message from the Today screen:

You can either set the left soft-key as "New SMS" using this registry tweak that I created, or you can install the 9-icon HTC Homeplugin update that will put a few new icons in the usual HTC Homeplugin tray on the Today page.

Just a follow up to my own question about changing the size or getting rid of the title bar and bottom today screen bar. I found a app over at xda-developers that allows the configuration of the today screen top and bottom bars. It works great, and has no ill affects on my mogul. If anyone is interested its called- "vjtoggletoday". Sorry but i dont know how to put in links. dschoenike

Re: Reg tweaks [07/15/2007 rev.2]

Wow great list. It appears so far that the kitchen thingy does all these for me. I had some programs give me the signature error though. (the spc program works fine) for example I still get signature or missing file error when I try to run Either HTC Album or Slide to View both fail with cannot be opened because not signed or missing component. Suggestions? since the SPC program works I am guessing its a missing component not a signature issue? (Sprint ppc 6700 wm6.1)

Since you mention Kitchen, you likely omitted the .Net Framework selection in your build.. thats usually the reason for the exact errors you describe above. You could download the cab file from microsoft and install it -- HERE..

..... if still no go though, you'll want to reflash with the .Net cooked in..

Re: Reg tweaks [07/15/2007 rev.2]

no .net was already selected so I assumed it was needed and left it selected. ?? Its easy enough to flash so I will try again anyway Maybe that will fix my BT issue thats driving me nuts.

"SuspendResume"=multi_sz:"#777","",""

Once edited with PHM it looked like this:

"SuspendResume"=multi_sz:"#777 - Timeout after Cachetime"

When it should of been:

"SuspendResume"=multi_sz:"#777 - Timeout after Cachetime","",""

Give Mobile Registry Editor a try. It handles and keeps multiple data strings intact and allows you to edit the registry on your desktop through ActiveSync.
How I enter "SuspendResume"=multi_sz:"#777 - Timeout after Cachetime","",""
Moble register editor says "acces dnied" there are another way to enter above tex? thanks
