Re: Yes, Sprint did the right thing!! Merry Xmas

going to my sprint store today, camera button doesnt work (unless I push ungodly hard on it), RTY keys on my keyboard occassionally make a weird snapping/cracking noise, and "bottom" portion of the case seems loose (part which has the keyboard), aka it will pull away from the keyboard, which sometimes causes the stylus to fall out, almost lost it a few times this way...

only issue is a crack in the top portion (sliding portion w/ screen) of the case from a drop... from at max 2 ft up as I stood up from my car, hopefully they wont complain too much about that...

edit: and the wifi switch only works half the time

I think the physical damage will have you making a claim to Asurion. Welcome to Hell.

So I got there... and they said they couldnt reproduce any problems, fixed the phone pulling apart (I pointed out missing screws when they said "I think it just does that"... wtf is that answer? Yes, phones just pull apart, thankfully I could point out the real reason).

Forgot to mention the camera button though I know she would have said "oh it still works". And the rest of the problems (wifi switch not working half the time, buttons snapping, etc) just happened to be working fine and couldn't be reproduced. My luck.

I go home to MA in a few days and I know a place up there that when my last cell wasnt working properly (dying real fast and they couldnt figure out why), they said they would return it as a defective screen. When the 2nd (new) girl said the screen wasnt defective, the older woman said "well we can fix that"... I love that place, the older woman did everything in her power to do the most for the customer, hope shes still there ... but I digress... comeon new mogul.. I lose my job as of new years, maybe sprint can make it up a bit with a new phone that works 100% ::laughs::

Damn. Wish you posted this a month ago and shared which store I should go to instead. Not to say the NH store isn't good - they are. If the MA store is willing to go that extra mile and tackle all comers to make a customer happy though - hell yes I will drive to them instead.

Re: Yes, Sprint did the right thing!! Merry Xmas

Well last weekend I went to my local sprint store, and I know one of the reps pretty well because I replaced my mogul about 8 times but, he told me they were replacing the mogul with the touch pro and he got his buddy one, so I let the tech check out my phone and they said I was going to get a mogul back which really made me mad....... but anyways its been a week and I haven't gotten a phone call from the store which is weird, so I went to the store and asked what was going on, and the manager said the phone hasn't been shipped out yet because the moguls or on back order and it doesn't seem like they will be sending any more out so I might be recieving the new tp so hopefully all goes well, but should I call sprint and tell them the issue and see if they will send one a little faster, because when I took the phone to the tech I told them it kept blacking out, and the camera button doesn't work..... so fellow geeks please lend an opinion (remember I have been waiting a week)

Well the store I went to was somewhere just off exit 8 or 9 of rt. 495, so it would be a bit of a hike from NH. I just got back to MA the other day so I will probably be driving up to that store to see what they can do for me. If all goes well the same people will be working there and I can get in and out with either a new mogul w/o issues or maybe a TP. I'm torn as to which I would prefer.

this just in !!!!...... I spoke with Assurion last night and was told they have no moguls, but in 7/10 days they would be able to fill the order. I objected and said I was told 2 business days, there reply was they could give me a suitable replacement and it would be my choice. a ®Touch Diamond or a ®Treo 800wx so I said neither were appropriate and suggested the ®Touch pro. there response was that the pro only replaces itself, so now im waiting the 7/10 with a busted P.O.S., so in short, Sprint Sucks!!!......

I had my phone's screen break and I got a similar offer from Assurion... The offered the Touch Diamond, Treo 800W, and the Touch. All of those are not comprarable replacements so I opted to wait the 7-10 days as well. Seeing as how I orginally called in a week ago and decided to hold off on the claim (out of the US atm) and the story was the same about a 7-10 day wait... I'm not convinced they'll follow through on this...
