Verizon MMS without data question - Page 2

The verizon phone works just fine even with the stock ROM.

I have compared my Sprint TP (activated on vz) side by side with a coworkers xv6850 & there is no noticeable speed difference even using TF3D.

To the OP,

I would definitely NOT let the phone do the pay as you go option. I've had nightmares with it connecting and getting charged for not even surfing or connecting at all.

I've opted to the do data block which works incredibly well. I am in the same boat as my school has wifi all over the campus.

When I get a picture message it gets forwarded to the www.vzwpix.com website. I then get a normal text message telling me I have a picture message and to log on to that website to get it.

It's not that much of an annoyance and I don't send or receive many anyway for me to actually care. Just be super careful with the internet. The charges on the pay as you go plan are enough to ruin anyone's day!

Not with the trick I gave him. I set it up so only the MMS can access the Dial up line.

pic messages dont count against your data usage. if your being charged for pics as data you need to call vzn and complain. been there done that.

I forgot to mention that. When I got my first 6700 I was getting charged data for each picture and going against my pic plan. It was because the stupid rep forgot to do something to my line. We had a fight over 'having to get a data plan for the 6700'. So they refunded my charges and fixed it...
