I made sure the black boxes were checked and followed all the instructions to the T. I have NSFAN's 6.5 ROM and was told that after doing this I needed to install his GPS.cab for Verizon and then to add the following changes;
Server IP: 216.198.139.92

I tried GPS prior to installing his cab file but it didn't work. Then I installed the cab file and made the changes in HKLM/SOFTWARE/HTC/SUPL_AGPS.
Nothing... Data Connection is good, I can get regular traffice updates on Google Maps, but GPS just won't work.
Not for sure at the moment but please post in the VZW agps thread and not the alltel. Please copy your reply there. Also did you get any satellites using htc gps toll or gps viewer. Please repsond in the VZW thread

Re: Alltel GPS with A-GPS - super fast lockon

Hey Drewcam - thanks for the quick response. When I try to install those drivers, since I have already done it once, the install program comes up and says, "Detect invalid driver(s)... please uninstall the driver(s) first!!" Then the program has an "Uninstall Driver" button. That's the only way I know how to uninstall the drivers, but I assume that's good enough. I then reboot, click the WModemDriverInstaller.exe, and go through the install, and it tells me they're installed.

But again, when connect my phone in Diagnostic mode, it sends me to the New Hardware Wizard. (It's not supposed to do that at all is it - it's supposed to just install them and be done correct?) Is it possible to find the drivers using the Windows Wizard? Where would I search for the driver files?

Other than that, any other ideas? Should I try reflashing? I'm up for anything, although I'd rather not try to reauthenticate again, which I assume I'll have to do again if I try from the first step of downgrading my radio back to the Sprint Rom.

I noticed your radio is 3.42.40. I was there before, but followed the wiki instructions at: http://wiki.ppchaven.com/index.php?t...IX_VERIZON_GPS to downgrade and work my way back up to the Verizon 3.37.77 (which is where I am now). Was it possible to get GPS working again without doing that?

Thanks again for your help...

Re: Alltel GPS with A-GPS - super fast lockon

Just out of curiosity, I tried installing the drivers on my laptop, and connecting there - same result: New Hardware Wizard pops up, no drivers installed to the phone. So it's seems it must be something about the phone. I also upped the radio to the Bell 3.42.50, then flashed NFSFAN's 6.5, hard reset, soft reset, then started trying the drivers. Now I'm stuck. Thanks...

There is only one USB port listed, the other says serial. Since I can't see the Ports in Device Manager, I'm starting to suspect this is the problem right here. I've run this thing from a hard reset 10 times plus from scratch. It just doesn't work as stated.

From what I have read, the 6900 only shows one port, does it say SURF####?

You may still be ok. Read through the threads for the 6900 having to do with aGPS and you will find some support for this.

Yes, it says Surf with the ESN number in parenthesis. However, I've run this program as I've mentioned a bunch of times with absolutely no luck. I don't understand why people say this works.

Is there another place to download the QPST file, as the link in post one does not work.
