Re: Alltel GPS with A-GPS - super fast lockon

Hey Drewcam - thanks for the quick response. When I try to install those drivers, since I have already done it once, the install program comes up and says, "Detect invalid driver(s)... please uninstall the driver(s) first!!" Then the program has an "Uninstall Driver" button. That's the only way I know how to uninstall the drivers, but I assume that's good enough. I then reboot, click the WModemDriverInstaller.exe, and go through the install, and it tells me they're installed.

But again, when connect my phone in Diagnostic mode, it sends me to the New Hardware Wizard. (It's not supposed to do that at all is it - it's supposed to just install them and be done correct?) Is it possible to find the drivers using the Windows Wizard? Where would I search for the driver files?

Other than that, any other ideas? Should I try reflashing? I'm up for anything, although I'd rather not try to reauthenticate again, which I assume I'll have to do again if I try from the first step of downgrading my radio back to the Sprint Rom.

I noticed your radio is 3.42.40. I was there before, but followed the wiki instructions at: http://wiki.ppchaven.com/index.php?t...IX_VERIZON_GPS to downgrade and work my way back up to the Verizon 3.37.77 (which is where I am now). Was it possible to get GPS working again without doing that?

Thanks again for your help...
