Cricket should work. As far as the NZ PDE servers just use the Alltel ones and if it doesn't work get on Google.

Re: Alltel GPS with A-GPS - super fast lockon

another thing I noticed - if I hard reset but don't allow Telenav to install, the settings stick. I hard reset a second time, and allowed Telenav to install and the settings were changed. The IP was removed and the port 8888 was removed. Trying to make it work again...

Re: Alltel GPS with A-GPS - super fast lockon

To even get my GPS to function on the Alltel Touch (with the 6.1 upgrade)...I had to:
Set the GPS for Port 4 with a 4800 baud rate
Apply the fix from page one of this thread.

The GPS would not even register with LiveSearch or Google Maps before applying the fixes. Thanks!

Re: Alltel GPS with A-GPS - super fast lockon

Just reporting the results of doing this on my Sprint Mogul.

It seems like I do get faster lock after doing this and also locks on to more pilots and or satellites. For example I had 11 outside with clear skies, previously I would get about 8 max. While increase in satellites improves accuracy, I have not observed any increase in sensitivity. I still cannot get a lock inside my office.

Thanks for writing up the tutorial, cabs and links.
