I am using this new version now, it has a different look and cool new features like the google local search and panaramio photos (it shows cool pictures of local attractions and gives the option to go to them) which are pretty neat. The only problem I have had though is sometimes it freezes when I try to run it. Anybody else notice that? BTW I am running no2chem's nuerom 3.

Re: 6800 Garmin GPS.......

i meant to come back here and post about the new update. this new one allows you to use custom pointers like the new garmin GPS units. i have the firetruck ambulance and several others. just go to the page that has them, click on them and save them to your desk top. unzip them then add to the vech folder under garmin. works like a charm.

edit: I just had a thought. Why in heck doesn't Garmin just offer its program/maps etc on a larger SD card so users can just transfer all of their data to it?
I agree 100%. I was all set to buy the program (I have always used Garmin stand-alone GPS units & wanted the same for my 6800) until I saw on the Garmin site that it would not work if I copied it to my 16 gig card.......

Does anyone know how to copy it to another/larger card & still have it work??

I think you can buy it from garmin that it comes on a dvd that you can then put on any sd card.

Really??

I could not find that option anywhere on the Grmin site??

I ended up buying Copilot Live7 because of this & it works very well, but I would still prefer to have the Garmin program.

Re: 6800 Garmin GPS.......

Search the web. If you "buy" Garmin XT, you can copy it to a bigger card. There are detailed instructions here http://forums.wireless.att.com/cng/b...hread.id=54245

Make sure you use V1.5. It is compatible with city navigator 2009. If you have upgraded to WM6.1 or activated your internal GPS you will have the option to use, internal, bluetooth or wired GPS receiver.

That link has a link to "How to install voices". I've tried searching the site, but haven't found the download for them. Has anyone found them and can post a link?
