[quote=one0one951;182524]My OEM splitter stopped working as soon as I put on the 3.16 rom so I bought this one...quote]

Me too. Went back to 2.17 and worked fine. Back to 3.16 doesnt work. Before when i got a call (while streaming audio) the audio would pause and the voice went to my bluetooth headset, now when i get a call i only get the voice and dont hear anything in my headset.

Here is what the problem is... The supplied adapter with the phone that lets you plug in standard headphones is mono... If you use the headphones that came with the phone it uses a Mini USB end. I have found an adaptor that takes a standard 3.5 plug which is the same as most headphones and the other end is the Mini USB and it is STERO... The only drawback is you can't charge and use the adapter at the same time...

My 3.5mm adapter works flawlessly, I use it in conjunction with a radio transmitter so I can not only listen to mp3s in my car but I can also both make and receive phone calls using the car stereo system as the speakers!

Re: confirmed; audio-out with adaptor broken in new rom;included headset works though

I see I am in the minority in that after updating to 3.16 my OEM headset stopped working along w/ my attempt to use a 3.5 adapter. I have since reverted back to 2.17 (Sprint) after doing the required relock, and I have not regained any headset function. Anyone else encountered this? Anyone know of a setting in the registry that can be changed (long shot probably)? I am desperate to listen to Howard Stern around the hospital... not considered too professional w/o headphones.

Re: confirmed; audio-out with adaptor broken in new rom;included headset works though

Neither Dcd or No2chem have fixed their roms yet. They have both been made aware of the problem. I know that Dcd said he would try to take a look at the issue in the next couple days. No word from no2chem yet. I know both people are busy doing the best with their roms.

sorry to quote myself, but i thought i might be nice not to scroll up to see my setting/cause of the problem. I tried holding down the button on the headset (OEM and 3.5mm adapter) and inserted while listening to music through speaker, and it worked!! someone try it w/3.16 if you had this problem and let me know if it works. I miss the GPS, Rev A.

Re: confirmed; audio-out with adaptor broken in new rom;included headset works though

I have tried different versions of DCD and No2Chem ROMs without any success.
Went back to Dcd 1.6.10 and didn't regain the function. So reupgraded back to 2.3.0 and still no luck. Don't know what to do - and it's driving me crazy. I am getting tired of reflashing the phone all the time.
I am really considering getting a new adapter mentioned in a previous thread.

My adapter kind of looks like the one below.

I wish someone would figure this out,.... please

mshnayde-
I think people were having trouble with the first one you listed too. If you are going get a new one I can confirm that the one I listed above works flawlessly. You can get it for under $10 shipped on ebay.
